Ooooh R.A. Salvatore! Can't wait to experience the magical world he crafted! I bet ya if you had companions and stuff, and you were like fighting, oh I don't know, Cyclopes or something, I bet ya that your companions would be like, giving 24/7 commentary about how the Cyclopes who are like coming after you with their bows and arrows and like throwable spears and stuff can't hit you for shit because they only have one eye and thus have no depth perception its why they can't hit you for shit because the lack of another eye to give depth perception means that they lack the ability to register depth or distance or shit and that a fucking glass of water could be the fucking ocean to them because they cannot fucking register depth because they possess only one eye, which is a curse from them being born a fucking cyclops hence lacking a fucking other eye and the fucking depth perception combo that fucking went with it which is why your fucking companion is just standing there telling you why these cyclopes can't fucking hit you because they lack the perception of depth that is required to use fucking ranged weapons so that is why they can't hit you for shit and why this fucking conversation is still on going.
Summary: Fuck you R.A. Salvatore. Your fucking Crimson Shadow Omnibus was a waste of fucking cash. It's like I bought Mafia 2 in book form. Oh hey it's this guy who does that Drizzt shit and people say the Drizzt books are cool so here. We. Go!
CYCLOPES! ONE EYE?! NO DEPTH PERCEPTION!? MENTIONED IN WHAT FEELS LIKE EVERY SINGLE CHAPTER WHERE A CYCLOPS IS THROWING SOMETHING?! OVER THE SPAN OF THREE BOOKS?! I'M NOT A FUCKING IDIOT! I'M NOT DEAF (or illiterate, whatever)! I HEARD YOU THE FIRST TIME!
I got drunk and burned that fucking omnibus. Felt great man.
Off topic: Oooh I wonder what Raymond Feist is up to these days. Can't wait to see his harrowing tale of youth and innocent love, tragedy, rough life changing journey, epic battle, want an orange? end story.
I sure hope he's still not doing the same story over and over again.
That preview emanates derp all over the place..bad ass mages, cool-looking spell effects, simple combat (button presses with a system similar to Fable), finishing moves etc

Actually, he is. Same story, over, and over... and over......... and over.... again
Was good for the first 6 or so books, after that...

Well, both the Riftwar and Serpentwar sagas were great, as well as the Empire trilogy. But yeah, after he finished those his work became...uninspired, to say the least.
Betrayal at Krondor, the RPG, remains one of my favorite games though.
If you've always been hesitant to play as a rogue, for instance (and who would blame you - that class is usually pretty hampered and traditionally a lot less spectacular than many others)
The combat, likewise, takes one-button combos and makes them context-sensitive, weapon-specific and surprisingly deep. You'll find that using a staff is a radically different – yet equally satisfying experience when compared with using daggers or even a two-handed sword. It gives weapons that have traditionally been good for nothing but liquidating into spare gold coins a new lease on life. By keeping spellcasting and combat mostly straight-forward, action appears fast and fluid – much like God of War or Fable.
