Was selling a 3080 to a desperate dude. Was like "Can't you ship it now PLZ so they ship it as early as possible?!?.. And i was like "Fiiiine. I'll go right away after work even though it's weekend and postal service is sleeping. Yesterday he messages me: "Sorry, i'm in a personal economic crisis and i can't buy it afterall. Thanks and bye! and this after shipping it with cod, which is extra expensive as he didn't trust me with so much money.

I'd fucking slap him to the next galaxy if i could

sounds more like someone who thought he could scam u getting his hands ont he card somehow and didnt count on cod? Possibly giving u a even better price so u would be motivated to ship rush and possibly make a mistake

how does cod even work btw, couldnt u just put a brick in the box , he cant open it right untill after he payed

Normally I'd feel sympathy - but selling a top end GPU privately in today's market is basically scalping - so it presents the moral dilemma of whether to feel more sorry for the scalper or the attempted scammer. Very Happy

Yeah, don't bother with "it's scalping selling GPU's". Selling privately can be really risky. While I've never been scammed I sure know people who have. I only sold hardware online as "pre-paid", ie. buyer paid for the item in advance. I had(still have) good/top scores on the one or two sites I sold stuff (PC hardware and other stuff) and never got a single bad comment. So yeah, I guess you won't take a risk like this again.

That's just stupid. You're basically saying that nobody with a higher end 30x0 can sell their cards without being scalpers. Rolling Eyes
