Choose your champions, make your move, and be legendary in the League of Legends strategy card game: Legends of Runeterra.
Open beta should start in ~10h.
Anyone playing or plans to play this?
I had one day early access due to pre-registration. Tried it out and it looks decent.
Hopefully it won't become a cancer fest like HS anytime soon.

Do like card games, but the're so time consuming.
Last card game i was into was Gwent, but had to spend 2 hours a day to keep up (not only doing you're daily stuff, but just keeping up with meta and being competetive is a grind)
Great game and easy to play as F2P without investing too much time. The cards, archetype, champions, decks are super fun.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
The collection is almost complete as well. Only missing 7 cards which I can craft but will wait.
Awesome game. Great for F2P players, less grind, more rewarding system, dupe protection on epic and legendary cards is always nice, vault system, weekly expedition tokens and legendary, no dismantling stuff, and is FUN to play.
The variety is huge. Each region has viable decks. Mixing 2 regions into single decks opens up a lot of good deck combos.
Can't wait for official launch and expansion.

It was just a matter of time before we could explore more of the vastness of Runeterra. But who would have guessed that the first iteration to break free from the boundaries of MOBA would be a card game? Despite the colorful imagery that will draw inevitable comparisons, Legends of Runeterra is a fantastic game which bands together the best elements of the genre while putting its own spin on it. I never had so much fun playing an online CCG and I’m looking forward to my favorite champions joining the game’s roster.
Pros:
+ Free to play
+ Artwork
+ Production value
+ Cool and relatively balanced mechanics
+ Synergetic cards
+ Fair business model
Dated visual - personally I don't mind. I like the art-style and champ animation.

Give us Void! Though, I wouldn't mind to see Leona.
This week's balance patch has put a stop to that miserable burn deck and has slowed down Karma/Vi. But there are still some brain dead or annoying combos they should address.
A bit disappointing that season reward is just an icon. Gold one looks nice but I'll keep using Poro icon for now.
That said, I guess I won't have to grind ranked much. I like stress free normal mode more. More variety as well in there.
Season of Fortune will be next.

Ranked is stressful. Even if you don't fall out of your rank it still adds the stress. I also don't like running into same/meta decks often. Gold is filled with Sejuani decks.
Normal mode is still super fun. I never run into same deck in same session. I also get to try a variety of cards/decks without stressing out for a win.

Patch 1.4 arrives next week with balance changes, a new mode, and more—all heralding the start of the Season of Fortune. The usual patch notes are coming next week, but right now we’d like to share an early overview of what you can expect to see over the course of the upcoming season.

We’re also bringing you two other ways to challenge your cardslinging skills and get rewarded for the hours you spend playing LoR: Labs (Patch 1.5) and our first in-game Event (Patch 1.6, 1.7).

Gauntlets are limited-time competitive modes with unique deckbuilding rules. Gauntlets go live every weekend for about four days total, with weekly swaps between formats in the rotation.
Patch 1.5: Adapt to the unexpected with Labs
Quote:
The first Lab, A.R.A.M., is available July 8 with Patch 1.5 and features unexpected champion matchups and unpredictable outcomes. Rather than building a deck, you’ll make choices from a random selection of champions when the game starts. The champions you choose will start in your hand and generate a deck for you to pilot against your opponent’s equally random creation!
Patch 1.6 and 1.7: Expand your collection with LoR’s first event
Quote:
Toward the end of July, Patch 1.6 will kick off LoR’s first in-game event—a month-long thematic experience featuring a new Lab, special quests, personalization items, and more. We’re keeping the event’s theme under wraps for now, but keep an eye out for a special preview before it officially starts.
We want events to be a great way to get even more rewards for the time you spend playing LoR, and every player will have access to a series of limited-time items that can be unlocked just by playing. There will also be an Event Pass in the store that adds even more rewards to unlock along the way.
Sounds good!

starting in Patch 1.7, you’ll be able to choose which card art represents each of your decks in the deckbuilder.
NICE. Finally.
