Hey guys, thanks for your time looking at this post.
For a while now I cant remember how long but in device manager my multimedia video controller has had the yellow question mark over it saying the device drivers are not there,
Here are some details
PCI Slot 2 (PCI bus 0, device 9, function 0)
The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 2
To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver.
Now I know my graphics card is on the AGP slot, well I’m sure it is that’s where they almost always are right? I know you can get PCI graphics cards for dual monitors etc.
Now I have downloaded ge force drivers and it cannot be this, My PC worked fine for ages but after I formatted when I try to format again during the first screen where its installing hardware at the bottom of the screen after about 30 seconds the whole computer cuts off and makes this bleeeeeeeeeep bleeeeep bleeeeeeeeeeep bleeeeep two sounds with different tones,
Now my computer runs fairly fine although it seems slower than before and I seem to get ‘This file is being used elsewhere’ all the time when I try and delete things and I know that’s never happened before and they are not being used.
When I load games, the last 3 attempts they have froze about 3minutes in but this is only with this one game, But before I never had any problems.
What could the problem be? Graphics card I thought instantly but it worked before fine, and then I thought RAM, my computer being slower than usual and those being used elsewhere errors, but then again surly my comp wouldn’t boot as it gets past the memory testing fine.
I cant format which is so annoying, but the problem must be hardware, I really don’t know what to do here the computer runs fine 90% of the time when not playing games but strange things can happen like the file being used etc and I know it isn’t being used.
I know this was very long but I had to explain it clearly so you guys could understand,
