http://store.steampowered.com/app/379430/Kingdom_Come_Deliverance/ Release Date: Feb 13th, 2018
A first-person, open world, realistic RPG that will take you to Medieval Europe in a time of great upheaval and strife. A humble, young blacksmith loses everything to war. As he tries to fulfill the dying wish of his father, Fate drags him into the thick of a conspiracy to save a kidnapped king and stop a bloody conflict. You will wander the world, fighting as a knight, lurking in the shadows as a rogue, or using the bard’s charm to persuade people to your cause. You will dive deep into a sweeping, epic, nonlinear story from Daniel Vávra, an award-winning designer from the Mafia series. Our unique, first-person combat system lets you wield sword or bow in both one-on-one skirmishes and large-scale battles. All of this - and more - brought to life beautifully with next-gen visuals delivered via Cryengine.
Summary
Planned platforms: PC, Xbox One*, PS4*, Mac, Linux
Release date: Q4, 2015 on PC, Max and Linux
Approx. gameplay time: 30 hours (Act 1), 70+ hours (all 3 acts)
Non-linear story lets you choose between being a villain or a savior. Every quest can be solved in multiple ways.
A revolutionary combat system based on inverse kinematics, the only one of its kind to offer a rich, authentic yet easy-to-control, first-person melee experience. Based on actual 15th century fighting techniques and designed in cooperation with medieval martial arts experts.
Improve your character. Different play styles - warrior, rogue or bard - can be mixed and matched as you see fit. You can develop your skills, earn new perks, and fine-tune your equipment.
Large realistic, medieval-themed, open world landscape covering 3.5 square miles and 30 hours of gameplay (in first act, out of 3 total).
Lead the charge in enormous, open field battles and sieges. You are no superhero. If you’re going to take on an army of enemies, you better find one of your own to back you up.
Take a trip through the Middle Ages: Traverse sprawling cities, magnificent castles, towering, dark forests, and muck-strewn villages.
Discover this huge world from horseback or on foot. If you can see it, you can visit it.
A dynamic world comes alive. Every inhabitant plays a role in their communities, and as night follows day, you can watch people work, help them when needed, or try to interfere in their routine and see what happens.
Build relationships with characters, become a criminal or a local hero, seduce local women, threaten your enemies or pardon vanquished opponents.
Create your own weapons, cook, brew up potions, or dig around for silver. All crafting occurs in-game, using clever mini-games, rather than boring, soulless menus. You’ll be able to forge, sharpen, and repair weapons, create potions and ointments through alchemy, pick locks and pockets, distill alcohol, and prepare food.

We want to bring you a strong story rooted in the height of the Middle Ages, brought to life in all its glory. So what is Kingdom Come: Deliverance? Think of it as Braveheart: The Game. Majestic castles, armored knights, large, open field battles, and political intrigue set in a vast, emergent world. We want to make the experience as authentic as possible – real-world locations, real castles that don’t look like something from Disneyland, period-accurate armors and costumes, combat and fencing systems designed in collaboration with the most knowledgeable, skillful swordsmen around, and a story based on actual, historic events.
All this, on a foundation built capably upon the solid game mechanics of a true, hardcore RPG – nonlinear quests with multiple solutions, branching dialogue choices with points of no return, several roles to play (warrior, bard, thief), a mountain of different stats, skills, perks, and ultimate character customization details (including 4 layers of clothing and armor in 16 equippable slots!), as well as alchemy and crafting professions, the need to sleep and eat to stay healthy…even food that goes bad if it sits in your inventory for too long!
We’re mixing the freedom and mechanics of Skyrim, the setting of Mount and Blade, the storytelling styles of The Witcher and Red Dead Redemption, and the tough combat dynamics of Dark Souls into a single, gorgeous package. You could say we’d like to give ArmA (a franchise many of us worked on) an RPG makeover, streamlining the systems and controls and polishing the overarching world while keeping the unique, genuine feeling of its action and environments.
Glad to see it announced finally! I'm also glad we'll now have another simply medieval, without any fantasy, RPG. Having Mount and Blade around for so long (and it will be even longer) was cool, but I wanted something else, something that does things differently. This might be it.
That "different kind of RPG" part means RPG without any magic and fantasy? Or is it something else? Either way, I'm interested. Something like Mount and Blade, but story-driven would be awesome!

more like Skyrim/wicther3 type of game set in 15th century in medieval Holy Roman Empire (nowaday Germany,Austria and Czech Rep.)
also added some screens and info about devs(mostly Mafia veterans whod didnt like where Mafia 2 project is heading)

The smaller publisher, however, started exhibiting increased activity. They wanted more info about our budget, a playable demo, and to do their own focus group testing. It looks promising.
If this does not work out, though, we have a problem. The only other option would be to try to persuade our investor to back the whole game by himself – not very likely – or to find a co-investor. We tried contacting a few people, but it didn’t look good. One investment banker from London told us in no uncertain terms that PC and consoles are dead, and if we’re not making a free-to-play MMO for iPad, we’ve got no chance. This is, of course, rubbish, but being right is little help to us.
So that’s where we stand. We believe in our game, but selling a novel concept to publishers is difficult. Welcome to the exciting world of game development!
More info will be revealed o 20 Jan 2014

The PC and consoles are dead....This is news for me.
When did they died, why?! Did someone killed them?! If yes, who and why the killer wasn't apprehended and punished accordingly?!
I love the people that are announcing the death of PC, and yet, the old bugger, is still there. Now they are saying the consoles are dead, too. Probably because Microsoft is taking a beating there because their own stupidity. Sony seems fine and the console war for this gen just began.
F2P MMO for iPad...Let's see: Zynga bubble burst, Pop Cap was acquired by EA and closed, because those guys didn't make enough profits. Yes, the mobile market is booming, but as an entire. The offer is vast and the market is very fragmented. It's a new bubble and that will burst, too, at one point.Well, bankers... Can't ask them to understand what is going in the gaming industry
The game might end up interesting. We'll see. Love the idea of a more realistic RPG.

not sure how it was received abroad, but to me it was always logo of the company and down in the screen just webpage link.
I've been to some presentation done by authors of the game and they never even hinted possible name , it was known here as "Hussite Wars RPG from Mafia creator" here , but maybe abroad people were assuming that warhorse is codename o something.
Will try to get more info on the game soon (Dan Vávra will be in one czech podcast tomorrow) Also there is a lo of hidden info in their blog posts

Yeah i think people might have misunderstood because of the Warhorse logo which can be mistaken for the game logo when they also have the name of the studio in the same pic (one of the names usually refers to the game title). The game was always refered to as "Warhorse" on RPGwatch and many other sites i visit. Not that it matters
Finally they revealed it. This looks and sounds all kinds of awesome if you ask me.
Please melee combat be rewarding in a Chivarly/Mount 'n Blade-ish way, that is of vital importance. And a good story would be also very welcomed..fingers crossed.

So far I've spotted Bohemia, Hungary, HRE and Teutonic Knights (?) flags and shields. Overall the Holy Roman Empire seems like a great choice for this kind of game, glad they don't copy War of the Roses and others.
In that podcast i mentioned he(Dan Vávra/Creative Director) didnt said much about features.
The trailer they released is meant just as a teaser. It's supposed to announce the game and uses ingame assets (isn't prerendered). More info will be released next month - 20th January.
They did a survey and people reacted positively to the idea of an RPG without magic etc.Vávra says first person melee combat was never done well (and nice looking) in a mainstream video game. He wants to focus on making it complex, but easy enough to control.Talks about hiring quest designers. They hired young people with experience from LARPing and playing tabletop RPGs.
Viewer asks if he'll also be able to wander around the game without having to fight enemies all the time. The answer is yes.
>They talk about the word "realistic" not being perfect to use in a teaser, since many people will imagine different things behind it.
>They first wanted to use "Tábor" by Bedřich Smetana (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSWlkI1N_XI) as the music in the teaser, but American advisors said it sounds weird, so they didn't. (Tábor is a name of a small Czech city, which was founded by Hussites as their base.)
They also have pretty complex ideas on quests (multiple options to solve them - fighting, speech, stealth,...)
Dan's description of generic RPG:
Spoiler:
You are Krutor, a wild barbarian from the land of Morkroch. You have travelled a very long journey, across high mountains to the famous imperial city of Lhota, the capitol of the world and largest agglomeration in the known universe, whose fame touches the stars.
The city consists of precisely fifteen buildings (one of which is the imperial palace); the town is inhabited by 30 NPCs, including Emperor Lojza, Archmage Lotrando and all of the members of the guilds of thieves, mages and warriors.
You visit the emperor, who sits alone in the throne hall, and he assigns you with an quest. The land is terrorised by an evil dragon from hell and Lojza is powerless. He has sent an entire imperial army against it, but the monster has killed all five soldiers. Now, he needs a hero like you! You have to find and climb the mystical mountain, Lohen, on which no human has ever set foot, and behead the dragon.
You accept the quest and set out from the town gate. The mystic mountain Lohen is precisely 150 metres from the gate and is about 50 metres high. All of the inhabitants of the city are either retarded, blind or crippled if they have not managed to notice it for centuries. After an approximately 30-metre walk to the mountain, you come to ‘no man’s land’ and are attacked by bandits. During another 120m walk to the peak, you also notice an ancient fortress Rumloch, a secret dungeon of doom and a bandit hideout. At the peak of the mountain, you kill a one-hundred-metre dragon by beating its foot with a rusty sword and drinking potions. Then, you rob the corpses of the imperial army (all five) and on the way back to the castle are killed by a wild boar.
Welcome to an average RPG.
Game is 2 years in development and allthe main mechanics are already there.
The Kindom Come in the name is connected to the epoch of the game , where everybody expected end of the world. 1403 is the date when they translated John Wycliffe's ideas in HRE. (see Hussite Wars) Deliverance is connected to game's story.
From the available hints my guess is the plot will revolve around the Hussite Wars which was the first proto-protestant reformation movement against the Holy Roman emperor and the Catholic Church that inspired Martin Luther a century later. So there will be papal schisms, crusades, intrigues, heroism, burnings at the stake and various fun activities like that.
I got interested in this game when i heard about it like 1 year ago or so.
But if they got money problems why don't they try and kick-start it? Would be a big shame if this game never saw the light of day!

The grand finale of this story will start next month. But before that, we have prepared a kind of Christmas present for all of you: the first official TEASER video, a new teaser website, and the official name for our new RPG – Kingdom Come: Deliverance!
