Eurogamer understands this rumour to be true, and we've also heard Bethesda will announce The Evil Within 2, Wolfenstein 2 and re-announce Prey 2 during the conference.

Yes yes yes yes yes yes!

Now the question is did they go with UE4 or id Tech 6666666666 which finally supports dynamic lighting and PBR so that the daytime levels don't look like they did in TEW1 (namely shit)?

The only games I would buy with Denuvo in future is Evil Within 2 and Outlast 2. Smile

Fuck yes.

Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

I still haven't finished the first game yet, performance was so absymsal at launch that I never went back Sad Is it truly fixed with later patches? Possible 60fps on a 780?

@sabin: The patch gave me a 10 fps boost. If that's enough to get you to 60 I don't know. For me it wasn't, because of my CPU, so 30 fps cap it was.

Patch or no patch I'm sure the really heavy sequences will still be under 60.

Since even the console versions eventually gave you the option to remove the black bars I'm fairly certain that it won't happen again (or they'll give you the option in the menu from the beginning).

Great news! TEW was my favourite game in 2014. I know a lot of people didn't like it, because it didn't bring anything new gameplay wise, the story was abysmal and a lot of ideas were scrapped, but I really enjoyed it.

As it stands now the performance is okay and I haven't noticed any problems. I recommend the first two dlcs. They're excellent.

The story is convoluted, vague and contradicting - like the stories of so many Japanese games - but I definitely liked it and I'm interested to see what they do with the characters after the events of the first game.

I'm a big hater of the DLCs though. Very Happy

I still remember the amount of ghetto fixes, compromises, obligatory flawlesswidescreening and the likes that the first one required to be at least playable with mouse and keyboard on a decent-ish rig (60fps were obviously a miracle back then). And it still looked so-so, idTech 5 at its finest Very Happy Laughing

But damn, the game tickled me is a such a good way, I ended up liking it more than any of the post RE3 games out there. The non-Mikami DLCs were absolute garbage though (imo), so please if you want to develop this, don't ever try to emulate those in any way! (this is assuming that Mikami is still in charge of the whole thing)

Mikami's plan was to retire from director (and become a producer only) after establishing his new studio with their first game (which ended up being The Evil Within) but apparently when Bethesda bought the studio they were very much not approving of his plans so he said his bosses will likely make him direct at least a few more games.

Quote:
-ZeniMax also wanted Mikami to keep directing games so he pretty much implies he will keep doing that.
-Mikami names three staff members he would potentially like to see direct games at some point.
-All three staff members seem confused about why he wants them to direct games when asked about why he picked them.
-Mikami tries to micromanage less so it will be possible to prepare people for directing games in the future and everyone taking more notable roles, though he'd presumably still be directing one of their multiple games. He still works on setting up a structure so the vision of the game isn't lost however.
-Mikami is aware of the irony here that he's 48 and still their primary director and will likely direct a lot of additional games.

Same here.

Performance and a few other things were rather rough around the edges, but the game still managed to entertain me from beginning to end.
Never played the DLCs though.

Not this piece of shit...
The first game was too long, too boring and too stiff.
had some good visuals but it dragged soooo long with its fucking horrible plot

The plot was actually good IMO. The gameplay was more full of ups and downs.

I thought it was so-so. I'm not really into over-the-top gore, but the atmosphere was pretty good. Gameplay was average, though - and I don't expect I'll ever get back to it.

yup , the plot was good ... a game about a dream machine that could extract objects from dreams ... first 5 chapters where jumps from dream to a dream ... in chapter 6 the story showed this game was a masterpiece
