Following the incredible success of Knives Out, Johnson is looking to make a sequel ASAP.

Quote: | The $40 million original film with an ensemble cast has grossed nearly $250 million worldwide.
As Knives Out concludes yet another strong weekend at the box office, writer-director Rian Johnson is already working on a follow-up to his hit original whodunit, lining up a potential franchise for Lionsgate.
Johnson told The Hollywood Reporter at Lionsgate's pre-Golden Globes party on Saturday night that he was already developing a sequel centered on Daniel Craig's Southern detective Benoit Blanc investigating a new case. The filmmaker added that he was eager to make the pic quickly, ideally in the next year.
Johnson's producing partner Ram Bergman added that Craig was eager to reprise the role. "Daniel had so much fun doing it, and he wants to do more," he said. |

Just do a Netflix series.
I can stand some of his sjw bs if it's quality.
But a series would be better. More drawn out.
More lols. More fun. More time to chew the shitty exposition thats done pretty well.

Good.
First one was pretty fun, and Craig was great in it.

Atleast he'll stay on his own properties instead of trying to "subvert" existing IPs with idiotic ideas
Good to see him go back to his Brick roots which was a mystery film really. Also the only film from him that I liked. I'm shocked that he didn't ask Joseph Levitt to star though.
1 and 2 are still amazing.

His star wars was at least 2 other movies.
If it weren't part of main trilogy, those two movies would have worked.
Rose and Finn and Poe story to get plans or some shit like rogue one.
And the other story with Leia and trying to survive an onslaught.
Could have been side movies instead one botched experiment. It's still decent film making, utter shit story telling.

@Wanda:
You're right. they might have worked out better as side stories and should also have had a co-writer.
1 and 2 are still amazing.

I don't care if the character is gay just like I don't care if Daniel Craig is gay. Why even make it a thing? What does it have to do with the movie, the story etc.? |
Exactly but people like Rian Derpson want to milk it to the max to appease to the gullible clowns who fall for stuff like this.
1 and 2 are still amazing.

I don't know, it was too silly at times, like that covid spray, or that weird guy living on the island, but other then that i really enjoyed it. Actually probably even a little bit more then the first one.
Can't wait for part 3 and 4.

I thought it was pretty fun and had a good cackle with the whole it's so dumb it's brilliant conversation.
And I actually much prefer seeing Craig as Blanc instead of Bond.
Spoiler: | The film also had the happy coincidence of releasing during Musk's twitter phase, so while even though it may not have been written about Musk, Musk sure shaped his foot to fit the shoe.

Dumb film from a dumb writer. Derpson is a good director but a crap writer unfortunately the dude is massively insecure and a twat so he'll continue writing garbage. Other than Brick, he hasn't written a good film.
1 and 2 are still amazing.
