FX has given a 10-episode series order to the “Sons of Anarchy” spinoff “Mayans MC,” the network announced on Friday. The drama, which follows JD Pardo’s character EZ Reyes, hails from “Sons of Anarchy” creator Kurt Sutter and Elgin James.
Set in a post-Jax Teller world, “Mayans MC” sees EZ Reyes, a former golden boy now fresh out of prison, as a prospect in the Mayan MC charter on the California-Mexico border who must carve out his new outlaw
identity.
Along with Pardo, Edward James Olmos, Sarah Bolger, Clayton Cardenas, Richard Cabral, Michael Irby, Raoul Trujillo, Antonio Jaramillo and Carla Baratta also star. Director Norberto Barba is also executive producer on the series from Fox 21 Television Studios and FX Productions.
The main character looks exactly like a mexican version of the last one, it's as if they went into character creator, left the features and just switched race.

FX has picked up a third season of Mayans M.C. Additionally, FX confirmed that co-creator and executive producer Elgin James will serve as showrunner for the series’ third season following the exit last month of series co-creator Kurt Sutter. Season 3 is slated to premiere on FX in the fall of 2020.
