I can't belive it..this is awesome,i just live for these kind of movies and games..pure survival horror ,can't wait october to come.Looks so promising..
Well it's being made by Frank Darabont and that's like a fucking BIG DEAL , but i'd rather see him tackle another Stephen King dramatic movie since his track record in that area has been nothing short of incredible .
it wasnt that good , but it wasnt bad either
i didnt really like the campy vibe that Darabont was aiming for , doing the kind of horror movie that was done 50 years earlier , that's the reason he recomends viewing the black and white version of the movie.oh and Thomas Jane's acting in the finale was extremly bad , i knew what was going to happen and was expecting some really dramatic shit , but the his acting is very fucking bad , i'm still amazed why Darabont didnt fucking reshoot the scene .
Hahahaha, zombie choreographer! Can't wait for it, tv shows tend to be way more engaging than movies due to the characters and story growing on people.

I was into the graphic novels also, been looking forward to this for some time. From the short interview Darabont sure is saying all the right things, Im very optimistic.
The character Michonne also travelled for an extended time by herself and was safe because she had tied the zombies of her boyfriend and friend to her (after removing their arms and jaws so they could not attack her).
Oh hell yeah. They have GOT to put that in the TV show
Nah, apparently the zombies in this series (comic, at least) become acclimatised to people that spend enough time around them. IE; a crazy nutjob has a daughter that turned into a zombie, but she's become "so used to his presence" that she doesn't attack him. Zombies also don't attack you if you smell like they do, which is why that character CARRIES her zombiefied friends around with her
Isnt that exactly how 28 days later starts??? Guy wakes up alone in hospital and shit??
Sound like someone ripping someone else off
Tell me about it! Some people online are saying 28 Days stole the idea from the comic strip of Walking Dead .... but then, how in the hell could that have happened? 28 Days came out in November 2002, Walking Dead came out in October 2003.
can't believe I missed this thread. I absolutely love everything about zombies, so this is right up my alley. Looks like ill have something to watch after true blood season is over after-all.

Well - thats how Day Of The Triffids starts aswell...which is much older than both.
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.
In this day and age, there really is VERY little breathing room for new ideas... most everything has already been done before, in some form or other, so now all we can do is retell those original ideas and put a new spin on it. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so they say
There's a german (sort of) proverb that goes like "besser gut gestohlen, als schlecht erfunden" which roughly translates to "better to steal a good idea than to think of a rubbish one yourself"
And even if the creators of TWD stole the beginning from 28 [random time measurement] who gives? The rest of the story plays out completely different.
While we're at it just how many movies start with the protagonist awaking from a coma?
tl;dr already?
Basically what Ankh said.
