That's uh.. quite a tonal shift with this game. First one was serene, mysterious and a bit depressing.. with a ton of environmental storytelling which i loved.. this looks like the dev(s?) wanted to make a totally different game but didn't think they could sell it without their existing IP.

Indeed, I really enjoyed the first one with its surprisingly methodical pacing, the rewarding exploration with very little guidance and the focus on exploring the hand-crafted level design. Unfortunately, this sequel has taken a direction that I don't find interesting (expected though, as it's what most people seem to want these days).
