Really dislike the UI/font though, they're too clean/modern looking compared to the bubbly universe.

To me that's what mario is. But it Think its my age.
The same that Zelda in any 3d format isnt Zelda (first zelda on NES and SNES: A Link to the Past, is zelda to me).
Any 3d mario, isnt mario to me.
Even the Super Mario 64 isn't 'Mario' in my head. Its a separate branch the mario franchise went into outside of its 2d 'main' branch.
But then again a nearly 50 year old man thats last consoles was SNES and Sega Genesis (went full PC after that and never needed one), isn't the target audience either.
