A snail or something sliding over the lens?
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.

creepy. i agree, a swarm of something is the closest thing i can think of too. the weird frame rate might make it look like something it isn't.

Yeah I guess it is either some kind of insects outside or a glitch in the recording...
I don't believe it is in front of the lens, or else it would cover the window shutter on the left side too....but it clearly gets cut off by the window and remains outside.
At 0:08 it moves outside of the recording and shortly reappears at 0:10 moving upwards along the house.

Might be something v. close to the lens, as @stormwolf points out it appears again around the 10-15 second mark, some of the artefact never goes away from the wall. So there's either bugs on the wall or crap on the lens.

Either a swarm or maybe a shadow of something moving that cast the shadows over the car and house?

Looks like someone is walking towards your house with a streetlight or similar behind. When the person has reached the sidewalk (or the street on your side) next to your house the person turns left. In essence: it's a shadow of a person crossing a street and turning left. I guess your security cam is a bit sensitive to moving shadows.
Just my five pennies.

Due to compression something dark moving left smears. Maybe a quickly moving cat. Or just your mare starting his nightly shift to creep onto your chest while you sleep and whisper doom into your ears.

I love stuff like this. If anyone is into it, look for Nukes Top 5 on YouTube. Obviously there's fake ones out there, but there are some really compelling ones also.

Checked out Nuke's Top 5, some good ones there but 95% are attention whores imagining stuff! Also posted on reddit but didn't get a useful answer yet.

Don't think so, there is another house between this and the street so this couldn't be a reflection from the sidewalk.

Something like this is very likely, because I noticed the camera has a lot of ghosting/smearing when light is dim. Doesn't look like a cat though. And it went up the house...maybe a bat?
