What Ufo series is that? Cos the ones ive played are turnbased (ufo: enemy unknow, terror from the deep etc)

Sooo...latest Desperados but in WW2 era? I'm in!

Although I still see some elements, like that kill at 10m mark, that don't make sense, I still like these types of games.

Nothing unusual there.

Because it's based on Commandos games rules. Meaning the enemy FOV is around 45 degrees and sound is relevant only in certain situations.

It's how these games work. I got used to it and it does not bother anymore.

Looking quite promising indeed, perhaps a bit formulaic but that's part of the charm. I like the fact that being spotted doesn't lead to an instant death but you can actually fight back it if you're well-positioned and equipped.

The original "1.0" version was such a mess that they just re-released the game, now called the War Mongrels Polished Edition: https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1101790/view/3385040795529553132

Bugs aside, one of the biggest issues when I played the isodemo last year were the uneven levels which alternated rewarding sections with some rather amateurish decisions design-wise, not quite on par with the quality of the ol' Commandos games and Shadow Tactics/Desperados 3, but also Partisans 1941. The seamless mix of tacticoolness and real-time shooting had its moments, though. Will probably give it another shot, if anything for the (supposedly) improved AI.
