it's baffling how over all these years every single LOTR game goes to some unknown small developer, it's almost any big studio's dream game to make. But no, some backwater almost-indie studio gets it, almost every time. wtf?
Not that a big studio might do it justice either, but it is odd.
yeah... this is not the LOTR game you were looking for played alone for w while and I don't think I can stomach more. Maybe with friends it would be fun but solo it's kinda crap. Doesn't look bad, especially if you're a sucker for LOTR. The building system is a lil bit confusing but something to get used to. The combat - holy shit that is bad this would be a nice EA candidate for them to gather feedback from ppl on how to improve on certain things. Maybe they can still do it with a released game, or maybe they will use Epic as EA and then rls it on Steam and version 2.0. At least it's not a shit show like Gollum
Right, done some more playing. Its mediocre at best. The settings are nice but its waaaay to repetitive with some anoying spawning enemies. You fight 2 goblins and more spawn behind you even though there was no earlier...no matter if you have a wall behind you or not.
Also, the menu system is kind of like the one in Starfield - not slow, but slow enough to be anoying when you try to swap between stuff.
I've restarted 3 times and the map is pretty much identical (atleast up to where you are supposed to build your first base).
Its not an expensive game, but there are games out there that are better to spend you cash on
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.
