CD Projekt RED has said it is to announced a new project at E3 this year.
According to email invites sent out, a presentation will be given which will last around 30-45 minutes and will provide ” key facts and a live gameplay demo.”
The firm has confirmed to Eurogamer that it is not The Witcher 2 for consoles, nor is it an expansion pack for the game either.
Come on E3. Hurry.

Feudal Japan RPG? We're really missing that and I saw that a lot of users around here want that. It's unlikely that CDP will do something like that, but one could only hope I guess.

We already know from the other thread the E3 announcement is a console Witcher (Witcher 2 or some kind of spin off XBLA title or whatever) but also what you quoted is obviously not what they'll announce, because they said they're going to show gameplay; so it's something they already have ready.

Witcher 2.3 most probably, using same technology and on a lower budget.
I believe addons are a thing of the past nowdays, so developers are starting to do slightly upgraded sequels instead. I don't think there is anything wrong with this, as long as they don't screw customers with rushed and recycled products.
