About The Game
Dead Rising returns with modern graphics!
More than just a remaster, this Deluxe Remaster is a full graphical overhaul of the first game in zombie-slaughtering action game series "Dead Rising."
This remaster has also been fully voiced, supports auto-saves, and has various other quality-of-life features.
Witness the unmatched mayhem and freedom for yourself!
- Story:
One day, the peaceful town of Willamette, Colorado, found itself put under quarantine by the U.S. army.
Frank West, a freelance journalist, smells a scoop and finds his way into the only shopping mall in town.
Unfortunately, the mall had turned into a living hell, crawling with countless zombies.
Help will arrive in 72 hours, so it's up to him to find out the truth behind this incident before it's too late!
- Realistic graphics reborn through RE ENGINE!
All of the graphics, including the characters and environments, have been renewed, and greatly improved over the original.
Character's facial expressions, material textures, and blood spatter all look much more realistic.
Overwhelming hordes of zombies fill the screen with completely remade graphics!
- Smoother and friendlier to play!
The gameplay of the original remains intact, but there are various quality-of-life improvements, such as auto-saving, revamped controls, improved UI, and many other details.
The game is now also fully voiced for improved immersion.
- Spend 72 hours the way you want!
The game takes place in a giant shopping mall.
Use regular weapons like guns and baseball bats, or use daily household objects. Anything goes when it comes to survival!
Rescue other survivors, and try out some new clothes while you're at it.
Just remember that under these extreme circumstances, it's not just zombies, but psychopaths you'll have to deal with as well. Who poses the biggest threat, zombies or humans!?
``We contacted Pan Vision for a confirmation, and Pan Vision representative replied that while the release date had recently changed to 'unconfirmed', their sources at Capcom had indicated to them that the game is still scheduled to be released on the PC before the end of 2007. So far Capcom has not replied to our inquiries.``
If this is true this is the best news ever! A m8 who has 360 version told me this is animal, you can use a lawnmower to kill the zombies! Glad to hear its coming to pc
If capcom ports this like they did lost planet, I'll die happy, I'd make a template for ya but..I can't find shit on it lol
Yeah, and NOT like RE4.
What a waste of everyones' time to come out with a shitty port like that.
Anyways glad to hear it's in the works. I am really looking forward to unlocking the overtime and infinite timemodes...without beating the damn game the right way. Or at least giving us the option of multiple saves. That game was a bitch and a half to finish and even worse was finding out you had to start over 20 different times cuz you saved 20 seconds too late or something.
edit: ofc remember that Lost planet (witch had to be Xbox exclusive) was ported and Gears of war are comming to pc too, so i hope to see dead rising on my pc too

so these capcom dev friends you have(assuming) say at the end of this month? why does that seem like bs?
I never said I knew anyone at capcom lol.
like i said, assuming
you said you knew devs, and i was under the assumption capcom is porting this in-house
I hope they are porting this in house other wise I won't bother with it. I'm sure after the success they had with lost planet they'll do it themselves again. I can just see the people with the AMD XP's crying all over again cause they don't want to upgrade and can't handle new games
the pc will see dead rising before the end of 2007? nah. dont believe it, its some just some bullshit rumor. we might... MIGHT... see it eventually, but end of 2007... nope. sorry.
just be thankful were getting gow, and move on. i too would love to see dead rising on pc... been wishing i could play it since i first saw the 360 vids, but i just cant see it happening this year, and concider it a HUGE thing and a total longshot if we ever actually got it at all.
I still remember when I encountered my first survivor the first time I was playing it. The little bitch started screaming and punching me so I splattered his head (literally) with a sledgehammer. Good times.

"Faith without logic is the same as knowledge without understanding; meaningless"
it could be out next week, you know the score with xbox 360 - PC ports
but its gonna take a bit of time if its not going to be the usual "outsource to shite company to port from console to PC"....like RE4 (and even then....they took their time...and still it looked like a game that came out on ps2)
when there is no more room in hell, the D34D will walk the earth
TGMOnline reports they've received indications that a PC edition of Dead Rising, the popular console zombie game, is in development as well as Colonies, an expansion for Lost Planet, the space combat game. This unconfirmed report is based on a slip by Halifax, the Italian distributor for Capcom, and in that vein, the report is in Italian.
