Cancerous fucking site

No adblocker as it was a new browser

Is this what some people are willing to accept? This is even after I closed an animated one off that was fixed to the bottom of the viewport.

At work, some seem perplexed as to what an adblocker is or how to use one. Is this what they see every day? How do they do it???

Then there's this:

The cancer of the ads seems on par with the cancer of that site.
No amount of lack of ads would make the site good. Going to it with adblockers on, its layout and content presentation seems on par with the lack of taste used for ad placement

It feels like the windows 8 metro GUI of websites Laughing
Go to crap sites, get crap ads. If they end up on that site for game news, they need to learn to internet better. I say the ads are good, it helps them learn they need to do that. Wink

The day uBlock Origin stops functioning correctly is the day I stop using the internet.

You'll sometimes see Youtubers open a browser window to read/comment on some article, and it seems no matter the site they're on it's just fucking plastered with ads all over the place.

I genuinely don't know how "normal" people find this shit acceptable and continue to browse without a good ad/script blocker. But that kind of mindset also explains why everything is in the state that it's in - people are fucking dumb.

Fuck browsing any site without an adblocker. I was all for "supporting" creators and that bs 10-12 years ago, but nah... Even back then they abused the shit out of you with their pop-up adds and all the full volume adds playing in the background. This was before a lot of people even bothered with addblock, so they did it to themselves by being greedy cunts. Seems nothing much has changed, so whatever. The first thing I recommend to everyone I know is to use ublock.

The day my adblocker stops working I'll immediately switch to a non-google conformant browser whether that is firefox, brave or other browser...

I think that day is coming sooner than you may realize. Best to just jump to Firefox or other alternative now and save yourself the future headache.

normie internet is a cooking pot of popups & ads at every pixel available, as annoying as they can get too.

idgaf, I use ublock & sponsorblock and routinely clear cache/cookies from non important websites.
You really have to insert your own will and gut whatever you dont like otherwise the experience is just insufferable online these days.

I have zero problems taking the time to setup anything that will gut this shit out of my sight for as long as possible.

dk how web V3 will be but it's a no go for me if ads are uncrackable and we are fucking then.
chrome's about to lose a lotta users

I hardly browse normal news sites at all, i use internet for reddit, forums, torrents, youtube, spotify, mod sites and, very rarely, also Discord. I just don't see the need at all + even with an adblocker those pages looks like absolute dog shit.

I use a combination of adblockers as none seem to do the full job, I am guessing this is not ideal as I am sure there will be conflicts?

I do use uBlock Origin on top of the others, but Chrome throws a wobbler about Ublock being corrupted all the time

And from the OP it will stop working/become crippled on at least Edge.

Opera isn't really an option for me these days; the development/evolution of it has turned it into something I just don't like.

Chrome does not block ads by default but allows users to install ad-blocking extensions. Brave blocks ads and trackers by default, which can lead to faster page loading times and increased privacy. Chrome is known for its speed and performance.

Wait, so the browser that advertises itself as backing ultimate user privacy is, in itself, adware? There's not perfect, then there's fucking malicious. Laughing

I've been on Firefox since forever and never thought about using anything else.

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

As a sometimes developer, it's hard to rely on Firefox when most people are using Chromium browsers

It would be nice to be able to use it for everything. I remember how happy I was back in the day when FF was a rival to Internet Explorer. It was like the 2nd coming of Jesus
