Over the last 10-15 years he went from someone OK to watch now and then, to full "Old man articulately yells at sky"
I think he believes he is yelling down from the sky, to the unarticulated masses.
Still, I find myself agreeing with him 85% of the time, more than with everyone else.
But occasionaly he throws some strange curveball opinion and I just have to shake my head and wonder if he smoked some bad weed that day. Curious what he will say about the Zelenskyy incident.
Oh yea, I 100% agree he has an air of superiority and views himself a bit as an ordained messenger for those less blessed in smarts than himself
I think my problem with him is over the years, he has gotten MUCH more proclaimative (is that a word?) of making sure he reiterates in his jokes over and over, how he makes fun of both sides. But it comes off less as "Both sides have issues" and more "I am smarter than anyone on either side".
A bit of anything he talks about is "These people are dumb, unlike me..let me explain why'.
And he does a lot of preaching about how whoever he is talking about has lost nuance, and context and is barking only about the easy to criticize hyperbole. While doing it himself from his chair of smugness.
Defending it as "No no I don't take a side". No, but you don't need to be in a sides corner, to also fall prey to what you are criticizing them for too.
The only way I can describe it is over the years, even fi I agree with most of what he is saying at times. It feels he is getting worse about having the equal of a posh nobleman talking and doing that nose up pursed lips "Hmmmm" condescension noise before saying what he wants to say about what he just saw.
And man as he gets older does he have a dislike of 'the youth' anything they do gets a mocking 'young stupid people..am I right?" vibe on it..EVEN When he is defending or agreeing with them, he can't help but do it.
