Czech online game retailer SuperGamer decided to go the way of Walmart Canada and have revealed the release date of Metroid Prime 4 on their page and it is Friday, 29th of November 2019.
Keep hearing rumors that Metroid Prime Trilogy is coming to Switch, but nothing confirmed.
If it doesn't, I'd play the first two on Gamecube and 3 with Wii because on 3 you don't have a choice, if you have consoles that can play them. Great games.
Forgot about Dolphin for PC, use that for 3 if you can.
I tried the first on dolphin and it does work. It's just a bit annoying as my aim always glides way more than i intend, so it's a bit of a mess aiming.
Great news to me, never liked that they were letting Namco handle it. I posted my doubts about it in this thread. I'll gladly wait if it means a great Metroid Prime vs a crappy one.
Here's some details from Imran Khan, Senior Editor at Game Informer
- the problem came from Nintendo's experimental ad-hoc development process
- Metroid Prime 4 was being made in parts in different countries
- some studios were progressing smoothly with the project, while others were having a lot of trouble
- Nintendo started to think that the game needed to be all under one roof to set things straight
- Retro made the pitch for their involvement and put together a demo that Nintendo liked
- the Metroid Prime Trilogy Switch port has been completed for quite some time
- it was originally going to be announced last month
- there's more Metroid stuff in development
