Tjee, how to teach you the meaning and pronunciation of 'vakman.'
A man is a man, right? That is the easy part.
I may take a break in between explaining.
A 'vak' as a noun can have many different meanings.
Stretching from a vacant lot to something you learn in school.
Break...

I know the meaning, it's craftsman.
I am not sure how it's pronounced.
With V or with F in the beginning?

In Dutch:
'v' is pronounced as 'vee' like cattle.
No idea how that sounds in other languages.
The 'f', we pronounced it like: 'fortisomo'

AI Overview
In Dutch, "vakman" is pronounced with a slight variation in the "v" sound. The "v" is often pronounced more like an "f" in some dialects. The "a" is pronounced as in the English "father," and the "m" is similar to the English "m." The "n" is pronounced as in the English "n." So, you'd hear it sounding roughly like "fawk-man" or "fack-man".
Here's a breakdown:
v: The "v" is often pronounced with a lip-and-tooth sound, similar to the English "f".
a: The "a" has a long, open "a" sound, like the "a" in "father".
k: The "k" is pronounced like the English "k".
m: The "m" is pronounced like the English "m".
a: The "a" has a long, open "a" sound, like the "a" in "father".
n: The "n" is pronounced like the English "n".
Is that true or Gemini AI is just pandering to me?
'Cause ,I kid you not, yesterday its answer was 'v' is pronounced like English 'v'.

I pronounce it as a 'v', not a 'f'.

Some googling:
https://www.dutchgrammar.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1355
Edit: I wouldn't perceive the way I pronounce Dutch as ordinary.
Man I was born with a speech impairment.
Vakman/vakmens I pronounce with a 'v'.
Edit:
Words with a 'v': vuur, vogeldans, vrachtwagen, volière (French incorporated)
Edit2: Specific 'f' words: faillissement, faculteit, fauteuil, fanfare

BTW, if one would pronounce a 'v' as a 'f', and then say vak, it will sound like 'fuck'.
