Hm I searched and didn't get a thread for this show, is no one a fan of this?
Anyway I'm a huge fan probably seen all episodes of all 8 seasons at least 5 times but yeah not sure how I feel about the new season 9 direction they're taking.
first i heard about season 9 it was going to be without JD and turk and it was going to be some kind of spinoff. I was pleasantly surprised to see most characters were back

Well, I didn't hate that trailer, I think it could work. I know that at least I'm going to give it a chance for half a season and after that we'll see.
The trailer isn't the worst reboot we've seen. I think nobody actually expects this to hold up to the old seasons, but then again we are sorely lacking a good comedy series and Zach Braff has proven he can be a good writer (IMO).

@4treyu@bringiton It’s not that the trailer is bad in particular, it’s that it looks so lifeless and soulless. They just paid a bunch a people more than they deserve to make a memberberry that will likely fail.
Contrast this with something like The Pitt, that, while not the same, you can feel the passion behind The Pitt. This feels like a studio reviving an old franchise because everybody loves old franchises, riiiiiiight?
Well, wasn't the original Scrubs also an award winner comedy?
I'm not comparing the genre or themes, but the enthusiasm or lack thereof behind them. Do you honest feel like there is any enthusiasm in that trailer? Some of these old farts is genuinely excited to do that crap?
I'm a big Scrubs fan, and have been watching the clips/trailers ahead of the renewal airing in 10 days time. The latest trailer certainly has me hyped... Bill Lawrence is on fire with the likes of Bad Monkey and Shrinking; I would be surprised if they fuck this up anywhere near the level of Season 9 fuck up.
Basically, all things are looking promsing and I REEEHEEEALLLY hope I'm not wrong, and this knocks it out of the park...
