So it's For All Mankind but from Soviet perspective in this alternative history. Isn't this show kinda redundant and predictable, since For All Mankind already have established hallmarks of this alternative history?

Gotta milk it. Latest season is very shit. So hopefully this will canned after S1.
What is it about? Is it more historical (pre-moonlanding), or does it follow the alternative timeline of For All Mankind?
The numbers don't decide, the system is a lie. The river running dry, the wings of butterflies.
And you may pour us away like soup. Like we're pretty broken flowers.
We'll take back what is ours. One day at a time.
It's the alt timeline, but this time from the russian perspective in the 1970s, so after the landing.
Not sure if this was necessary, guess we'll see how it turns out.
The HDR of this show is horrible, even worse than For All Mankind. Apple shows tend to have some of the best HDR implementations usually but these stick out like a sore thumb. Whoever is mastering them - they are imbeciles.
Ep 3 for example has average content light level of 38cd/m² (!) with peaks of a whopping 338cd/m². It's muddy and muted, even in a dark room. Just get the SDR releases.
Yeah, Superman and F1 were notorious examples, they even made videos about it on Youtube.
I always try to get my hands on the mediainfo before downloading or I preview the file to check the light levels. In around 15% of cases now I have to abort and get the SDR release.
honestly not interested in fiction ... i really want to know the real story on how the russian beat the americans EVERY step of the way, first satelite, first animal in space, first man in space, first spacewalk. first docking .... first station .... and lost the giant lead they had
now that be a story to watch but american audience cant swallow the fact they was behind all the way and only catched up cause they took massive risks

Yeah, same. A lot of their success came from Sergei Korolev, the director at Star City in the 1950s and 1960s. Brilliant mind, already thinking about the moon and sending probes in the 50s. After he died unexpectly in 1966, the Russians were just lost.
A biopic on his career would be cool.
