Hey guys... lets start of with the bad news...
The one thing i dont like about this... is the server... its really slow... apart from that its an awsome site!! you guys rock!!

The reason the server is slow is due to the HUGE number of new people sitting here refreshing awaiting the GTA:SA release.. I'm sure one of those wonderful limiters would work great, only BURN THE NEWBIES!

Yeah it's horrible, almost gave me an aneurism.

who is so sad to refresch every second to see it appear?
those who refresh, need another couple of hours to leech it anyway.
And those that can get it directly after it has been posted here, know it before it was posted here, so kinda sad....

You try running a site without slowdowns with ~1k hits per second 4me2. On top of that, as whoknows mentioned we had a hardware failure just before the big gta tsunami (TSX should have a shrine or something for his dedication). In the end we did a hell of a job under such circumstances if i do say so myself. Be happy you even had a site to open in your browser!

Stop behaving like a spoilt brat whos been told his toys are shit.
This is a feedback section and Im giving feedback .
Its not personal critic aimed at anyone and has nothing to do with any with GTA being released as its been going on a few days.
look at your logs and youll realise this .
Being mod or admin also means you are going to get critic and not just people kissing your backside all the time although .As admin you will always have a trail of dedicated brown nosers who do kiss your ass everytime you post. Ive been admining myself for years so Im perfectly aware of what Im talking about.
Your agression to me is totally misguided and the fact that the forum clock is two hours out also points to a hardware problem on server.
Why not do as suggested in a post above and close the board to nonregistered users to cut down on the strain ?
PS . many occasions over the last few days the site wouldnt open in my browser at all. |

Digital-forums has been at least once down and the admins there have not been any better to be honest. Sure, everyone would love a perfect forum, however, I have never seen one :&

First off the issue has been resolved and secondly stop mentioning your expertise in "admining" its driving everyone up the wall I really do wonder what kind of board you "admined" as I doubt it would compare as to one such as this where problems in bandwidth/hardware ect are on a massive scale in comparison.
This board is run by a bunch of guys who do this in their spare time, they arent rich so they depend on a few banners/donations to get them by and because of this you get to be a part of a community, if it was my yard you were playing in and showed that kind of de-appreciation you can expect to find your arse already outside on the pavement. Expect some glitches now and then as well nothing in this world is perfect though the guys in the background here are trying their best and you should certainly learn to show a little gratitude.

Yes, I know full well whats been going on the past few days, i know we had slowdows just before gta sa hit, i know the site wouldnt open...i mentioned that. It was the webserver dying. We had to setup a completely new box, fresh install, restoring backups, the works...hence the clock is off, we hadnt had time to deal with the small stuff yet as we had more important matters at hand.
If you think i was picking on you or something, that wasnt my intention. Maybe the last sentence made it seem like i was ticked off, quite the contrary, i was just making a point.
About your remark regarding brow nosing and feedback, heh...do you really think we're that naive? Please, thats almost insulting. I wouldnt expect that coming from a fellow admin. From someone else's perspective it almost looks like your looking down on us, like we dont know how to run a site. I understand things havent been perfect the past few days, but as i said, please bare with us.
We didnt close the board down for non-registered visitors because it wasnt the trouble-maker. It was the massive hits we were getting on the main page, as i too mentioned already.

lol perhaps because gtasa is released and over 5000 000 people visit this time in one day? So the server gets slow... If you just give the owner more money hell prolly buy a new faster server..
