This ones a bit different, at first i thought i was being an idiot and couldn't find the user folder on C:my documents; but after searching thouroughly i found out that the GTA San Andreas User Files folder hasn't been installed at all on my computer, i tried reinstalling my the game time and time again and nothing. The folder simply won't install it seems. Needless to say i can't save because i have nowhere to save to and so i get an error while trying to save and of course i can't put my music in the game likewise.
For save file corruption: try a) reinstalling game or b) reinstalling on your windows drive game. The last part fixed it for someone I know who had save file corruption EVERY time he saved. Another person in forums posted that it was the . (a period) in his windows username that was screwing things up. You can make a new username to fix this (you MIGHT be able to rename as well, but renaming does not change your my docs folder name so I'm not 100% sure if that works)
