Here some rumours which run on Grand Theft Auto 4. The picture is fake. But GTA4 probably not. Anyway, it's just the question of modification of the previous games. Add some textures, make bigger map, add cars and models. You can make GTA's up to number 10 or more. Anyway - that is the case EA does with FIFA series.

I doubt that they'll suddenly abandon the cartoonish style that has been typical for the series. That screenshot looks rather strange, the characters looks almost like 2D-sprites for example.

SA is the end of the GTA3 triology and they will be making a new engine and from the sounds of it multiplayer will be added and it almost sounded like they will be making a MMOG.

If they do it right they could own the GTA series, but if they fuck up....well they fuck up and loose a lot of fans

hmm, that's wrong, proove it. why isn't actually Vice City as GTA4? And San Andreas GTA5? so new one is GTA6.

Nope, they say gta:sa is the last part of gta3 trilogy (liberty city, vice city and sa). GTA4 is whats to come.

They might pretty well change the whole game style, since gta 3, vice city and san andreas were all actually gta 3 series, using the same comic style.. gta 4 might now be a new style, maybe more realistic, grittier, darker (a development which personally I'd approve), bloodier. It'd be great if it played in Toikio or paris, some new scenario at least. Like all gtas, its going to have the same gameplay concept, no change there, but the overall look and feeling is certainly going to change.

A new engine would be really nice. As long as it doesn´t take away the awesome gameplay. And ffs, if they go MMO-whatever, then i REALLY hope that they make it so the singleplayer comes in first hand.
