This reminds me of Toca Race Driver 2 
Ilgrande, my statement above was simply my opinion, I have no evidence to support it, just from past experiences such as the Starforce protection made me think I won't be playing GT4 anytime soon
who knows though, maybe a release is just around the corner, in Echelon's NFO in Kessen III they hinted about a GT4 Rip at the very bottom, but who knows. . .

Well, i don't know if we should count pressing disks in PTP mode as a protection, but yeah, it would surprise me if a group could fine a way around that.

its not your typical everyday protection, its something new, but anything programmed can always be hacked, it will just take some time for someone to find a way around this one, who knows how long though

yeah its not a protection, but its something that was programmed that denies us the use of pirating the game
i don't want to have to buy a new burner for this game, it would make sense to just go out and buy the game

I don't need working release, I need NTSC PROPER, then somebody download it and stumped, maybe you don't know, but right half of earth dont matter about PTP, they buy silver, so if nobody don't release proper, it can't be pressed, and we lose this great game.

The original will never come out on a dvd5. And the pal version is already released in Europe.

guys ive been reading some threads at PS2NFO and people with a Pioneer 109 burner might be able to burn GT4 on a DVD-R DL. some guy has found out that a Pioneer 109 is capable of burning PTP which GT4 is written in. the guy is gonna keep us informed if anything happens and if a hacked firmware which allows us to write this way. ive got a Pioneer 109 and im over the moon reading the info. got my fingers crossed.

interesting I've seen the same comments elseware. The 109 is a very compatible dl device. I guess with some tweaking it could work. Not sure about hacking the firmware though. If it went tits up that's a hundred dollors up in smoke!

New release by CENTURY is out !!!
they say 54X50MB so its's about 2,7 gb that must be DVD5.
If anyone will get this release soon please write something if it's work, because I don't have source for this file.

well it is a german release, so I suppose it has german language only and who knows what size it unpacks to anyway. But there is no mention of DVD9 in the nfo so who knows.
I'll see if I can get it somewhere.
