The topic about girl problems got me thinking about this one.

So the question is ... how long have you been in your current relationship? And if you do feel like sharing ... how long before you hit certain milestones... ie moving in together, marriage, divorce, killing her Wink , etc.

I've been with my gf for just over a year, and she's started putting pressure on me to move in together. Being a commitment-o-phobe, this kind of scares the crap outta me Very Happy

I've never been with a gf longer than a year Smile I suppose I should commit more to a relationship but I just see myself with them and feel restrained Sad It is much better though havin a gf than not havin 1... i might go get 1 soon idk though ....... *sugh*

I've been with this one a few months, I do think she is probably going to be it, but after a few months I wouldn't solidify that judement just yet Wink!

I think there is a lot to be said for how a person feels rather than "how long" you've been together... as almost an extension on what MAD_MAX said in the other thread, love can happen at anytime after any amount of time. So long as everyone feels it there isnt really a problem. I think love at a young age is possible but stupid, simply because your going to end up hurt in the end, but that love teaches you how to really appriciate the stuff you find later on!

I already have a son with an utter psychopath, right now I just want to find a nice girl to settle down with while I build my career.. lets hope I dont have to keep looking Wink

Oh, and on this note, I've asked mine to move in with me after 3 months Wink! It was the right choice based on the 200mile gap we where dealing with. Jump right in dude, you can always leg it later on Very Happy

That's what I'm afraid of -- getting myself in over my head. I guess it's really a crapshoot whether or not two people can live together or not without wanting to strangle one another. Smile

I dont think it could be judged on a timeline like that. Pretty much all my life ive had this opinion on commitment and getting bored quick etc. but there are times when i've been past certain milestones so I would never say never. The thought of being with 1 person for the rest of my life does frighten me though Shocked

haha.. ok I see your point..

The thing you have to remember is that I dont regret having a child to a mad woman. I wouldnt of chosen for it to happen, but it did, and it taught me a whole lot about life AND women.. Guess you have to just follow your heart !

i know its been said already but this shoulda been in months as well, my longest has been 6 months but i always seem to get bored by the 5th month so i sorta end it with them as easily as possible. I am only 18 but i hope this trend does not carry on as i do whant to have a family one day but i also enjoy the selection Rolling Eyes

a year and a half (and i broke up with her a week after 1 year lol...but we got back together) ... This is my first serious (long term? lol) relationship ... its going well now, but i dont see a distant future with her (hell, i dont see any distant future at all lol)... i think i still expect to find the perfect girl or something... im 21 btw...

No kids.. maybe in the next 2-5 years.
