ok, its an old drive and im hoping to upgrade soon...

Problem, for the past 6 months its been acting like a bitch when it comes to reading dvd's especially dvd-9's and in some cases dvd's ive burned with the drive. allmost every set that i get (dvd's) the drive refuses to read it just sits their and clicks clicks clicks then just stops and no media is recognized. ive done firmware updates out the ass even downgraded with third party firms and now im back to the original and the fucker still wont read anything besides cd's... im just wondering if anybody has had these problems (if anybody has or had this type of drive). im thinking maybe a lense cleaner would work but im not sure...

any help?

I see the problem straight away.

It's a Pioneer.
They typically write 400 disks then go belly up.

Time for a new drive.

I have had ny 106D for an age and have written well over 400 disks and it still reads and writes like the day it was new.

I saw things like that in here and in other "woman problems" topics so...... Am I the only one that thinks some authorities needs to be alerted about Saner and him possibly being a rapist and/or kidnapper ?Smile

Saner is not being serious. Unless its the subject of Santa!
