ok ive decided to buy a geforce 6800 gt and replacing it for my ATI radeon 9700 non pro ...do you think this will be a GREAT upgrade? anyway my system spec is AMD 2500xp abit nforce 2 mobo 1 gig DDR 128 pin windows 2000 ATI radeon 9700 non pro i think it could bottle neck abit but the geforce 6800 is being sold to me pritty cheap from someone i know ..do you think i should get it

You could do with a faster CPU too. The GFX upgrade will certainly help though.

Definitely upgrade to the 6800GT if you can get it cheap. Wait for AMD to lower prices in July, and get a decent Athlon64 for optimal graphics performance.

but DONT buy a Athlon64 without getting a higher clockspeed than the one you have now, its not worth it.

they don't do athlon 64 lower than 3000+ I think, so it's always an upgrade from his 2500
