hi all,today i bought a japanese psp,in the box there is written 1000k,that means that the version is 1.0?how do i see the version of my psp?since i believe that i have a 1.0 psp,can anybody point me out the way to upgrade it to 1.5???i guess i need the upgrade to make the games work from the memory stick duo...right?

P.S:if my guess that the 1000 k is the version of the psp is wrong,please tell me where should i check to understand which version i got of my psp,thanks a lot!

MY GOD DONT UPGRADE!!

version 1 psp's are unrestricted.. 1.5's are horribly restricted.. if you upgrade I will slap you!

As for checking you firmware version, check your PSP's options.. dont know off the top of my head though

I thought they hacked 1.0 so you can "roll back" the PSP's?

no, not that I am aware off. They have hacked 1.5's to run homebrew but its more of a pain in the ass than 1.0 Smile!

bah nevermind i was wrong,i successfully checked the version of my psp and its 1.50. i can still play games trough the memory stick,right?

P.S:i dont understand why nobody talks about this stuff,it is supposed to be a great great new but nobody talks about it...perhaps there is something not true?

hope not cause i just bought my psp today cause i heard about this tricky new! Sad

you can play some games with memory stick, but its not easy. but there supposed to be an universal loader soon. when that arrives we will talk about it here Razz

I guess most people are to sober to talk about the loaders for specific games here Very Happy
