Is there a way to lower the usage of my ram? my CPU is getting used up 2% constantly but lately my ram has been working at 40-60% (i have 1536mb) i'm not doing anything exceptional either and dont really notice slow down when running games but its just strange how its always runinng high. is there an app that will monitor processes and the exact ram usages?[/i]

go to the process tab, sort them by RAM Usage and see what is taking up so much space. Something(s) might be faulty, that is indeed a lot of used RAM..
but that's just it they're not using that much. firefox = 70,000 FTD = 40,000 msn = 35,000 explorer = 32,000 steam = 22,000 then i have the rest at 15,00 and below with 50 processes running
