I want to buy Splinter Cell, but I don't want SF3 to mess with my PC. Is it true, that to uninstall you just remove a few things from the device manager? Is there more to the process than that?

I realize that SF3 must be present to play the game, but I'm wondering if I can revert my computer to a Starforce 3-free state again when I'm done playing.

You uninstall the game and use the official removal tool. There's rumors though that some software (burning apps) will never work again Neutral

bs, i dun like starforce but there's no need to discredit it like this. once u use the starforce removal tool (a small executable that 99% of time is even included in the game cd/dvd) your pc is fine

Did you have any problems while SF3 was on your system?

This is sorta of a dilemma for me. I really want the game, but I don't want problems arising from Starforce 3. I use this PC for work. I don't wanna support an invasive copy protection either, but SC3 is a quality title.
