The demo didnt have starforce and Freakshow says Tages, so I'm willing to believe him
Anyway, hope to see a release soon, no matter of what the protection is

it's not starforce, I have a copy of the game. It might be tages. I thought it was custom actually - protection id can't ID it. there is definitely prot though, and it's definitely not SF (no drivers installed, nto the normal SF messages, etc.)
games pretty good.

Can you try to make a backup with Virtual CD 7 ? Some people said it's possible to make a mountable images of TAGES protected disc with VCD 7...

dude if Tagés was hard to crack you'd see uncracked Tagés games
As far as I know the last times it was used it was cracked in a week or two, on XIII & BGE maybe it lasted a little longer on Asterix XXL a year or two ago because it's a kiddie game... Keep in mind some SF games are uncracked for almost 18 months... TOCA RD2, Beyond Divinity, PacMan World etc... all released in spring 2004.
this ECHO game is not extactly high profile, it's eduterainement, i'm not sure it will reveal anything about the groups ability to crack Tagés, because it's not a motivating game for crackers...
It would be interesting if a more hardcore game title would use this protection...
On a side note, one can wonder how a company could survive 4 years or so since Moto Racer 3 released, protecting only 5 titles over the years... And how much R&D has been invested in the company to update a product that has not grossed many profits.
Actually they can't even do Tagés DVD yet... (on google i found a link where they say they are looking for funds to do Tagés DVD!). The DVD norm is quite strict will be interested to see how they will do twin stuff on DVD.
Seems like a descent product though compared to SD or Secu, but I guess their sales guys are poor when it comes to making BJ's to the companies to get the contracts
The frenchies need to lear to swallow!
