The make it work, you have to do the fellowing:
1. burn the CD as instructed in the .nfo file
2. Remove all "Internal" CD Drives
3. put the CD in an "External" CD Drive

I tried to remove Daemon Tools, and the clone is still working.

The SP2 MI I got (CCD rls version) doesn't even mount properly. The .mds file doesn't mount correctly (even though it should). The .mdf file DOES mount, although thats kinda backwards.

Got both my cd drives on secondary ide which I disable through bios. This method has worked for soldiers, divine divinity, and other sf releases, so bah!

All I get upon check is a "Disk read error" followed by some bullshit.

Was looking forward to this too, ah well.

(Sidenote: Anyone tested this with 1.10 patch? This could be whats causin the problem, as I applied right after initial install. Anyone confirm/disconfirm?)

I also do not doubt that the external method posted by alx works, however the nfo makes no mention of external drive required. Add to this the fact that the method I listed above worked for other SF3 releases, and I am drawn to the conclusion that it is in fact the faulty mini-image to blame.

Anyone been able to get the CCD release mini-image mounted and working properly without resorting to an external cd-drive? Any other way around this?
Perhaps there is some way to change daemon emulation to emulate an external drive (haven't found anything thusfar).

Any insight would be apppreciated Smile

Things doesn't look good, there have never been so much problems as with the new SF protection -> 3 nice releases missed so far. Cause you can't really say "they work" rotfl. Come on guys, break the shit completely or don't release such crap at all.
I mean, how far can you go... Installing a game protected by SF 5.xx will perhaps look something like:
"1. Mount the image but do not install the game yet
2. Reboot & run windows in safe mode
3. Create a boot disk (you'll find it our directory but be sure not to open any other folders)
4. Reboot your computer and enter the bios
5. Press Default settings, save & exit
6. Install the game, make sure not to install it on your system partition, if necessary create one
7. Reboot & shutdown your computer, unplug the power cables from all your drives, except the floppy disk
8. Now run the boot disk you created... "

Alright, enough Smile Just being so f***g sarcastic because I want to play SuperPower2 (and being forced to buy the game would feel like... losing? Wink)

Gotta be the funniest argumentation I've ever read, lol.
Learn to read between the lines. This time I'll make it easier for you:
I'm greatful, very greatful for all the working releases.
Is that understandable enough ?
