I see people were having probs updating the clone ie "getting illegal copy "message after applying updates.

I know game is crappy but...if you wanna update..do this..

Create a ccd file from the CXZiso release and patch this file using the bwa file and using the A-Ray scanner twin creator tool. Reburn CD using
securom new (not securom new 4.x) datatype setting on alco 120.

Before you burn a choice of 3 options
The first option is correct: "Keep TOC as on source cd, write until end

of image file".

I tested this and now updates work fine......
Just a pity game is so crappy!

Would love to give it a try considering *maybe* in a couple of months, WINGS will finally get Soldner right.

Btw, a bwa file and using the A-Ray scanner twin creator tool? I've heard of a bwa but the latter I have not. I'd like to accomplish this if possible.

Mind you, would this also work on Spellforce; Breath of Winter Addon as well? Me wonders... Confused

This basically sums it up (thanks Manijak!) :

1st I made an image with CloneCD, I used "Game CD" profile (I also tried to make clonecd image with Alochol120% and used "General Protected CD" datatype)...than I made bwa file... and after that I used alcoholer, run TwinCreator and created patched.ccd, patched.sub and patched.img!

Than I burned the patched.* images with alcohol120%, used "SecuROM *NEW" datatype and the game worked both times (from images made 1st with CloneCD and from images made 1st with Alcohol 120%)! I also downloaded and installed the updates for the game and it worked! I also tried to install on different cd-roms and cdrws and figured out that it doesn't work always, I had problems on one noname cd-rom where I couldn't install it from, so it'd be great if you'd also write that it's hardware depending if it'll be installable or not. Anyway, I'd like to know what do your think about this methode. Is it OK or not, what do u think how is it compared to the methode that you showed in first post, where you talked about using of alcohol120% images (*.mds & *.mdf)? Is it better, worse or the same and would it be better if I'd burn it with CloneCD...? Anyway, I didn't find any diferences between CloneCD and Alcohol made images.

Looks like he got it to work. Interesting sequence of events.

Thats what I got from the sequence of events: make an image of the distributed image we have. We'll know more if more people try it (or if I do it real quick). Cool Hell.. if it works so well maybe it'll be "releaseable"! Surprised
