Ok

Like whats the general goal of the game? There is no goal? is it like UO, but better graphics and gameplay and such? or is there a main goal that takes along time to get to, then recycles when u beat it and it changes slightly from completion to completion? and im talking non-pvp character...I wanna make a sick rpg char, then move into PVP. Already do nuff PVP and Murderering in UO Smile

So far I like it, its not that hard yet it does seem a little overwhelming the same way UO did when I first got into it...but from the looks of it, I assume its much easier to create a good character quickly?
Whats the highest level u can get ur char to?
One more question lol Smile
How do u increase ur backpack size?

If anyone can help me out, thanks in advance

NOTE: I find gettin info from other players is far more benficial than through the manual or some site like the Stratics network and shit

You should really have done some more research on the game before buying it.

Firstly, it is nothing like UO, there are limited roleplaying aspects but the main focus is PVP, so I advise you to build a character towards that, otherwise you'll be bored once you hit the level cap, which is 20.

It gets much harder one you clear the training area, then you have to group to do any of the quests basically.

There is no specific goal, apart from joining a guild and trying to get higher in the ladder. Have fun, hope it's what you were looking for. Smile

Well, for 29 bucks cant go wrong, free online play
i few ppl recommended it, i read a brief review on gamespot, 9.2 rating, so I picked it up on pay day Smile I wanted a new online game but i dont wanna pay for another one as I pay for UO already right. Well, I'll play the rpg aspect till I cant no more then move to pvp, Smile

U know dude, with all do respect and please dont take offense but u always put a negative twist on things...or maybe its the way i read the stuff u post, I dunno, if its me, I apologize Smile

Ah Laughing gotcha
meh, the concept is interesting enough and if its geared toward pvp, it might end up being really good, for me anyway...but i also like the rpg part of it, so far.

Any online games u can think of that are good? Pay or Free?
Like how about
Matrix Online
City of Heroes
ummm awww shit, I cant remember the other 2 i was thinking of Laughing

Anyway, can u recommend any good online rpg's? well, mmorpgs or whatever they are called.

I didn't enjoy the matrix online that much, although I only got to play on laggy US servers. The graphics are rather beautiful however.

City of heroes was good fun, it at least kept me entertained for much longer then WoW or Guildwars, because there is so much variation between the characters you can create. Plus there are some really cool powers, such as super speed, super jump, flying etc. But I eventually got bored, as always. Crying or Very sad

I might consider the matrix online again, i'll have a look into it.

How about the star wars online game? is that any good? or is it already filled with "uber-leets"?

and how much is the matrix per month?

DONT TOUCH SWG, WHATEVER YOU DO. If you aren't too worried about graphics, play shadowbane. Best PVP ever.

As far as oncoming MM games, look at a game called vanguard. It's basically the most serious game that's coming out. If you want a challenge in a game, that doesn't baby you along, check it out.

Take a look here: www.gwonline.net You'll find tons of information there. Also there is thread somewhere around here. You can look through that. It was our nforce guild thread, but most of em stopped playing, except a few (including me).

for those of you bored of GW, here is a tip:

get a GOOD guild!

IMO, your guild will break or make the game for you, simply because if your guild is compeitive in PvP, you'll see tons of things the game has to offer, on the other side, if your guild is not active or dose any GvG etc, you will think this game is a piece of junk..

It's not "get a good guild".

It's have a good guild get you.

I dont play GW that often anymore cause I'm too causal for guilds, but can't stand pick up groups.

I find the game very boring and repetitive after a while. At first i thought that after you ascend the game would be finished...only to find out that this was not the case. I can't see what is left to do, i'm at level 20, have dozens of skills wich most of them are useless anyway. And it's always the same, get to a mission point, do the mission, find the next mission point etc. No wonder they don't charge for online play, this game simply has nothing what keeps you online after a while.

Oh btw, pm me if someone wants to be an officer in our guild to take a more active role Smile

you still could go to underworld/fissure of woe, try to get the fissure armor, do pvp, try new character builds (like smiting monks in underworld or a char you haven't played before), 3-man smite runs in underworld, solo underworld, try to save up for 15k armor. there are still some things, i missed out.

I'm right now in a pretty active guild (we're around 80 people in that guild, of which are atleast 10-20 always online - so you'll have someone, that is able to help you, if you need help) and since that, the games makes more fun in my opinion.

thanks for the info guys

But I think guild wars is on the back burner till I make my martial arts professional guy in The Matrix Online

that game is really cool...just sometimes, randomly, it lags bad for a few mins then clears up for an hour or so

Thats the thing though, everyone chooses to just do martial arts in the matrix online, gets tedious.

Im gunna do both - martial arts and gun's to start.
From what ppl in game have been telling me

If u have nuff money and spend nuff time, U can be a coder/hacker/op all in one
I met a guy last nite who was, showed me what he can do
its crazy and shit
And I find there are alot more active players and talkative ppl in the Matrix.
Like try playing UO or Guildwars and walk up to a buncha ppl and say "hi" or something like that
no one fuckin answers cuz everyone seems to be elitist in those medieval/mythical mmorgs...but i suspect more young ppl play the Matrix, hence the reason u meet more ppl.
For instance, been playing UO for 5 years now right. Ive met maybe 3 or 4 ppl that I played/play with on a reg basis...so far, in the matrix, Ive got like 15 ppl on my buddy list and atleast 3 ppl are always online so u always have someone to do missions and shit with.
Thats the big thing for me, when I play an mmorpg, I wanna play with others...but in so many of those games, like I said, ppl are elitist or something like that.
The Matrix is the type of game Ive been looking for it seems, interesting story lines, continually updated live events and plots and stuff...and u get to use guns and martial arts and shit as oppose to being a warrior (axe, hammer, sword) or a dumb necro/mage type of char
I have pretty much every type of combat char in UO u can think of still...gettin sick of casting flame strike spells and energy spells, gets boring cuz the games dont differ that much.

I'd say id give SWG a try, but I bet there are already nuff "uber-leet" star wars geeks on there so I dont think there would be any point for me.

Animal, do u know if u ever get to fight agents? Like when ur strong enough obviously, not when ur just "awakened"

You should try City of Heroes, I quite enjoyed that, considering that I usually get bored of MMORPG's after a week or so. So much variation in the characters you can design, such as an enormous robot that flies, or a little crazy guy who hops everywhere. The only problem I found was that some skills are useless, and it's difficult to find out which until you try them.

As for matrix online, yeah, you can fight agents on some of the higher level missions, but as far as I could tell they were invincible.
