They won't, which is why the devkit OS X is so locked tight in the first place. Apple makes all their money from hardware sales, not software.
But some people are trying to replace the SSE3 instructions with SSE2, so Rosetta should be working cool in no time.

LOL, they sell their "updates" for 110 USD. You can of course update from OS9 to Tiger for the same price as from OS8 to Tiger as youre buying the license for it. I hardly see the thing that selling like MS would be bad, MS is making loads of profits.

Yes but that is only for Mac hardware, and they're going to be damn well sure its going to be the same for the new x86 Macs. And Microsoft practically monopolizes the OS market, so the only way Apple can make money is to provide hardware with marked up prices and make sure the only way you can use their OS is to make it only run on Apple hardware.
Besides, their 999 dollar iBook would usually cost 500 dollars if there was a regular x86 equivalent. A 500 dollar profit doesn't sound bad at all since they're actually selling pretty damn well.

It seems like this hacked OSx86 paved the way for the attack on the TPM chip..
It could help generate 'innovative' ways of anti-TPMC to appears soon..
