when i reboot only my wallpaper is showing. the desktop is all gone. everything.

if i want to start anything i have to do it thru task manager. Sad

oh win server 2003 btw.

corrupt explorer.exe maybe? In that case i dont think there are any hotfixes, only reinstall im afraid Sad

btw with or without sp1?

try killing explorer.exe in taskmanager and then run it again.
