Those breaks look amazing. I have surfed a little bit, still on a long board but i get better everytime i go out. Im from Canada so i only get out about once or twice a year. I loved surfing on the Big Island of Hawaii, found some nice little waves to learn on.Right near Kona. I went to sunset beach and just stayed in the lineup and watched..lol..way to big for me. I most recently tried to surf in a little town called saulitas near Porta Vallarta Mexico and i got trashed so bad..lol..The rock shelf really sucked. Id say ive surfed for about 2 years (6 off and on) I love Wakeboarding though, i get out about 20-30 times a season.

Really tho, before I came on this board, I thought NZ was like a dreary, grey type of place like england for some reason. I dont know why to be honest.
But now I wanna go Smile And i wouldnt mind visiting Fiji too (obviously go from NZ right).

U have any pics of Fiji?

I found surfing very hard. Catching a wave and getting up is fairly easy to learn. But to be able to turn and ride the wave takes alot of practice. When i was first learning i just rode straight, which can suck becasue the white water will take ya all the way in. Then its time to swim all the way back to the line up. Eventally i learned just to turtle my board once the wave broke into white water. I still suck, but im starting to make some allright turns.

If you have all right balance or are used to board sports (Skating, snowboarding etc), get a long board and you will be up right away. Make sure you can swim good, becasue if you get drilled you will find out you can hold your breath longer than you ever expected.
