Graphics dont make a game.
I much rather play on my console, its easier. I just put the disk in, or run it fromthe hard disk (if its on my xbox) and I sit back on my sofa playing on a decent sixed TV.
and i know any game I download or buy is allways going to work as it should, I dont have to spend a fortune upgrading my PC just to getthe best out of it.
PC's are superb for certain types of games (Civ springs to mind) but on the whole I allways tend to play the console version over the PC if its multi-platform.

i like consoles. i do not play strategy games like
- Rome total war
- Starcraft
- Civilization
- Fuck that.. this list will be to long <Insert thousands of games here>
there are games that are great and will never find their way to the pc.
also nothing beaqts four player split screen and two cases of beer for boring evenings.

lol... your great... what about gta, resident evil, doa or tekken kinda games, jump n runs, sports games... well... almost every game that isnt RTS or FPS... sitting in front of a desk would totally destroy the atmosphere of those...
and now dont start again with your "i can hook up my pc to my tv" shit... though i surely would have one of the best laughs of my life watching you ripping out all the cables from your puter... taking it to your living room... putting all the cables back in... place keyboard and mouse + 2 controllers in front of it... loading windows... loading the game... just to have a few rounds of tekken with your buddy... and then taking all the stuff back to the desk...
i like both for what they are there for and will not dismiss either console or computer... though computer gaming has a way too low cost/performance ratio...

during the years i had some gaming expirience with some machines like mega drive and mega cd and playstation and what can i say...allways find my self back near the pc:)
i think pc games are looking better and feels better and i choose with out second think PC.

Developers dont get lazy, they release a crappy port, developers want money remember that.
The PC will ALWAYS be the number 1 ELECTRONIC CENTER (entertainment AND everything else), why? Because thats what its designed for and has evolved to for decades.
I dont care how leet physics or graphics the consoles get, there will ALWAYS be the very same for the PC in form of upgrades, always always always. You cant upgrade a console, and if you will be able to, why the hell not get a PC that you can do EVERYTHING on instead? Exactly.
Bye consoles, altough i will get an xbox 360 so i have something to do when im at my friendgirls house, ill always consider the PC the maximum entertainment & etc center. Forever.

PC games have far more depth and require a bit more thinking than the run of the mill no brainer console game. PC will rule until low budget consoles are made to be used like a computer.

Me 2. I have a home theater comp that i game on as well. BF2 ,JA, GTA look amazing @ 120'
I love PCs for gaming; the last console i had was a playstation.
The Tekken series of games is the only reason i would buy a console again, you just cant get the same feel on a PC for that 1. But once i have my EMU machine done; i will never need a console. nothing beats the real arcade contollers for fighting games.

been into pc gaming for 20years now, and only now can i say PCs for gaming just isn't worth it for that alone anymore. The graphic crads and ram upgrades required to run the so few PC exclusive games now just doesn't warrent the cash outlay thats needed for so little gain. Shall be 1st in line to pick my xbox360.

it a matter of taste, really. I couldn't settle for a console and it's stupid controller. I wan't to play all kinds of FPS with keyboard+ mouse, racing with wheel etc. Upgrading costs a lot, yes..

in my opinion the only decent genre of game is FPS and maybe a little stratagy here and there and consoles just cant pull it off quite frankly, I sat down at my mates house the other day and played NFSU and with the low rez and the jaggies and not to mention the screen looked like it was smeared in chip fat, I couldnt even tell if corners were turning left or right, coming from the PC. Sure Ive got a killer PC but its no excuse for how incredibly bad consoles look, low rez low textures, low effects and crap fps's and even crapper online experience. If I ever feel the need to play daft jumpy 3rd person rubbish like 'Crash Bandicoot 12: weve got nothing left' then I may have a blast on a console

You are right man... Every great game that was ported to consoles is dumbed down... For example... Deus Ex 2... until they started making a console version the game looked great, and it was even more complex than the firs one... but after the publisher's decision to make a consoles' version the game bacame a stupid brainless shooter, and no thinking was involved...

heh... sure... its easy to call up 4 friends and ask "hey... are you in the mood to put your whole computer+monitor+keyboard/mouse etc together and bring it over here for the evening to play a bit of nhl"... if your friends arent kids on holidays or complete nerds with no real life they should laugh at you for asking that....
if your talkin about playing over internet... then you seem to not have any real friends at all...

Well whether or not you want to accept it PC gaming has been slowly declining for years now, and it's only going to get worse.
Developers make games for money, and the money is on the consoles. I will not deny that there are many great games on the PC that I love. But it's not enough. There are just too many console gamers in comparison.
I mean fable would have been amazing on the PC, but it came to console first and was ruined. Even two of the greatest PC games had sequals that were made with consoles in mind, i'm of course referring to Deus ex 2, and Thief 3. I can say with almost 100% certainty that the developers made more from their console versions then the PC ones. What does that tell developers? It tells them to make more console games.
There are so many more console games then there are PC games on a time:release ratio that it's incredible.
PC's will eventually be relegated to work related tasks, because once the interface issues are sorted out PC's will lose a major advantage. I mean, it can't be difficult to create an effective mouse and keyboard for consoles. Then strategy games and FPS's will be far more enjoyable on the consoles.

yeah ok. if you are willing to drag your pcs and monitors to one dude, free up some space, get some tables and all that.
i am talking about hanging around the couch in living room atmosphere. leaving shit behind at will to go to a bar. come back and play some more. waking up without having to rearrange the house.

I dont buy the PC being expensive crap. Yes if you buy from pc world, Im running a Radeon 9700 pro which I purchased two years ago for cheap which still plays anything I throw at it on high quality settings . . .
