Is the game already out in Russia or maybe also in other countries? It uses modified Silent Storm engine and the gameplay is based on very good novels by Sergey Lukyanienko.

How is the gameplay and story? Is it more connected to the book or the movie? Or maybe different? Are there characters from the book? Antoni, Olga, Tiger and others?

Well it already did I think. The bad (or good, depends) thing about the movie is, that you should read the book first. It's quite difficult to work out, what is going on without knowing the book. And besides - the book is much, much better than the movie.

European release dates for Night Watch (the movie) range from Sept. 1 to Oct. 14. The US release was bumped from this summer to January, although it was shown in NY/LA in extremely limited release.

As for the books, there's currently no English translation yet, but it has been announced. Apparently the whole trilogy will be in one hardcover edition, and it's due out July 26, 2006.

I thought it was a really good movie, and I hope they put in the effort to make a quality translation of the books. Even without having read the books, I didn't find it all that confusing though. I assume there was stuff missing from the movie, but what was there more or less made sense.

And the game has potential to be one of the best of the year imo, hopefully both it and Hammer & Sickle get an English release soon.

story not concern neither book no film ... only "others" and sure Olga, Gesser, Zavulon Smile Olga will initiate your character Stas and you will see her at first minutes of game

you can choose 3 types of your char
- were* (werebear, weretiger, werefolf etc) melee
- mage with pure ranged damage
- sorcerer can handle with artifacts and some buffs, support magic

there are no matter what type of "other" you will chosse for your main char ... your team will be completed with other types

same types has dark "ones"

Сумеречный дозор is the real title of the third book. Not sure what it will be called in English, as there's some argument about whether it's going to be Dusk or Twilight Watch.
