Hell, Sony Online Entertainment, in an effort to take business away from these wholesalers, just recently launched its own "legitimate" auction service for EQ2.
I realize this is no different from the poor bastards making our sneakers in Asia, but I thought it was time to dispel the "Oh, I don't have the time to fully experience an MMO, but buying gold/char/items is a legitimate and harmless way for me to get get the most out of the game" myth.
Well, you're supporting yet another venue of rich pricks exploiting those less fortunate.
