Ragdoll Kung Fu
- Official web page: LINK
- Publisher: VALVE
- Developer: Mark Healey
- Media type and size: Online dowload through Steam
- Genre: Fighting
- Release date: October 12, 2005
- Price: 12.95 (USD)
- Story/Description:
Quote: | Imagine having a Kung Fu Fight with string puppets, except you don’t have to worry about getting the strings tangled up, and you don’t have to have a kung fu fight.
You control the characters on screen with the mouse – there are no pre-scripted animations in the game – it’s all up to you – to walk, you have to literally pick up one foot, then place it in front of the other.
Sounds tricky maybe, but it doesn’t take long before you're spinning through the air like a Russian gymnast.
This means you get to create your own style, and can act out whatever you feel like, and of course, if you really feel like it, you can have a fight.
It’s about Chi power.
|
- Multiplayer: YES
- System requirements:
Quote: | 800 mhz
A mouse, multimouse support only on Windows XP.

TCP/IP or LAN. No need for official/pay servers. You host, someone joins, even mid game.

Really cool, i just saw the announcement about it on Steam the other day, so i don't know much about it...
Seen some video clips of it just now and i have to say it looks like a lot of fun...
Any date it will be out in September or is it coming out when they want in Sept?
I hope it wont be too expensive either...

Originally Mark, the brains behind Ragdoll Kung Fu, said the game was gonna be free. I guess after years of work he changed his mind. Now the price is set at around $18 (USD).
As far as release date goes, it has been pushed back many, many times. But this latest one (sometime in begining of September) seems to be a solid one.

sure you were. Neway its for silver 1s too and I got it and completed it yesterday (yea i'm sad but its a short game! plus i remembered most of what to do except for the last level which was more of a maze)
on topic though......
This news was posted a few weeks ago and if ya read http://personal.lionhead.com/mhealey/pczone_clip3.jpg I cant say i'll be willing to buy this even if it is less than £20 with FREE hl mods there's no need for a 'standalone' type thing to waste your money on. i'm sure its good but with loads of TC's coming out soon the features wont be missed unlike the money.

Too expensive?!? Really? For 12.95 you can hardly get two packs of cigs!, or a wonderfull dinner for two at Taco Bell, or 12 pack of beer, or fill your gas tank quarter full!
This dood worked for 2-3 years to make this quality game. All of you should get a job.
