Hmmm...this may sound stupid, but is ur ESC key stuck or something like that?
I had an issue in a game once, where whenever i went to a menu, it would act as if my mouse was scrolling through each option over and over and it was very hard to manipulate the settings...anyway, it ended up that i had usb controller connected and a cd case was pushing the gamepad stick up, which was causing the constant cycling.
What kinda system are u running? how fast, how much mem, what kinda gfx card etc

No keys stuck, and believe it or not. I have a joystick that is messed up, so it does the exact same thing when it's connected. Scrolling up, was going nuts over that a while ago.
Anyway, still the same problem, and I can rule out any stuck keys. Guess this game hates me allready.
I got an AMD 64 3200+, 1024mb DDR 400, ATI Radeon 9800 Pro, Win Xp Pro. Latest drivers, and so on. At least the game should start on that.

AMD 64, as in 64 bits yes. But the system is still 32 bits Windows, never encounterd any problems with the 64-bits processor before, but I will see look and see if that's the problem. Nothing can be done in that case, and I guess there would have to be a disclaimer on the Q4 box if there was, and so far I have not heard any comments about souch thing on the box anyware.

Ok, back to the topic? Still have not got it to work.
Guess I have to wait for UFO Aftershock and Civ 4 instead.
