|
 |
the thing is, i got myself a wlan router a month ago and a dsl6000 connection.
my desktop computer never had probs with it, the wlan connection went steady at full 54 MBit/s and i could use my full internet speed (ca. 700 kb/s).
3 days ago i got myself a toshiba a80-154 notebook. i connect to the same wlan router, but the speed is hardly at 54 MBit/s , mostly it is only at 24. well normally that wouldnt really bother me, as with my internet connection a wlan speed of 6 MBit/s would already be enough to get full speed. this is not the case though. when my wlan speed drops to 24 MBit/s my average speed on the internet is only like 20 kbps.
if i move stuff from my desktop computer to my notebook by using wlan, it goes at around 1200 kb/s, but when dload stuff off the internet it almost never reaches 60 kb/s,
while dloads with my desktop pc go at over 300 kb/s at average.
can anyone help me here? i ve fiddled around with all wlan setting i could find, switchin between g and b+g but nothing helped.
btw. there are no dloads on my desktop pc while i use my notebook, so i should be able to use the full speed of my connection on my notebook.
