the beta sucks, really, the perspective is all wrong, feels like you are looking trough a 16x zoom all the time, the controls suck, much smoother in the prequel, the graphics suck, 1152x867 is the highest it goes, anti-aliasing dont work even if forced lol, there is huge lag, in short, its an early beta feeling.

I think it will be fun once they iron out the netcode a little, the jedi are fun. 
I liked the first one so this one is a treat for me. Haven't flown any space missions yet... the rebel vs empire mission in the beginning of episode IV is a very cool map. It felt just like the movie, all the rebels (the team I was on) set up in the hallways and the other team came rippin' through the doors, very cool (of course half of them had rocket launchers and killed most of us instantly, but hey).

Last I heard It was slated for a release on the same day as the retail DVD of episode 3 which shows as 31/10/2005 where I shop online. Yeah I also heard you can play as the jedi but they have to be unlocked on certain missions by completing objectives, once unlocked they stay on the mission for a limited amount of time which can be increased by the person thats controlling them gettings kills/points within the game. Gamespot had an E3 clip up showing the guy playing as the jedi
I still play the original online and love it, only problems I do find is that the rocket troopers and jet pack troopers tend to dominate games but nothing beats a fullscale battle on hoth with the at-ats and at-sts stomping plus the taun tauns and T-47 Airspeeders - amazing stuff.  |
