The game is set in Berlin 1945 during the final advance of the Soviet army and is based upon actual historic events. Sniper Elite sees the player take the role of an elite sniper recruited by the American OSS to navigate through the warn-torn city and retrieve the Nazi Atomic secrets before the Soviet NKVD reach them. This mission marks the beginning of the Cold War.Sniper Elite is a realistic sniper simulation that takes place in the final days of World War II at the heart of the European Theatre in Berlin. I saw pallebrun's thread for the PS2 game and if he says its good thats enough for me to at least try it out, that and the 2 player co-op. Very Happy

Getting it as we speak, i will give a first impression of it when i have played it.


Only big gripe i have with it so far is that there are areas where u think u can go but can't. I only wish areas where a little more accessible. but it is a good game so far. Be very carefull when moving around as the enemy could be close by and u won't even know it. time to continue playing. But the sniping element of it is good it takes into account gravity, breathing, shoot and move (don't stay in one spot to long)

I've enjoyed what I've played of this so far as well, started on the beginner level then noticed that alot of the sniping options like breathing, wind and so on were turned off by default plus the enemies had huge text markers above their heads so I changed it to Marksman and although im getting killed alot its a really enjoyable game just great to creep around the levels watching the enemies then set up for a shot before moving on. Im sure the later levels are gonna be awesome as well.

this makes a nice multi dvd game because if u take out all the multi stuff and leave uk only it 1.4 gigs instead of 3.5 gigs Smile

As for framerate, the 360 version runs smooth, while the PS3 is a jaggy mess that chugs along in slow motion.

cool.. never thought of doing that, i too like to cram a DVD to the limit, I hate using half a disc...lol

I looked up "gormless" in the dictionary, it said "without gorm" .... so i looked up "gorm" but it wasn't there ????
