Wasn't there another sniper-game in the low-budget turkey-division some time ago?
It also had one of these CS-kid-teaser titles... like "Sniper - Hidden and Deadly" or something like that.
Yes, yes I'm back.
Somewhat.

This is far from a value game. I have the ps2 version and it's an amazing game. This is nothing for the action freak or arcade freak. The amount of things you have to take into consideration when you snipe is incredible, and this shows because it can be extremely hard to hit someone from a long distance. You cant just point the cross and think it will hit where you point it, you actually have to have skills to be able to hit your target in this game.
I play the game in sniper elite difficulty and it's hard, really hard. The enemies are hidden everywhere so scouting your suroundings is a must or you can kiss your ass goodbye.
Give the game a chanse despite it's graphics. This game have the gameplay, and that's what's important.

thanks for the preview man
sounds like a decent shooter and since u say they have some realistic snipering, i think i will try it out.
I hate those games where ur using a sniper rifle and there's no sway or movement on the scope (i mean, no one can hold something perfectly still) and there's usually no recoil and shit like that.
So, is this game realistic like that? Like say if Im in a building trying to snipe someone and i dont position my guy right, will an enemy sniper be able to see the reflection of the sun off my scope and get my position? and what about muzzle flashes? does that bait ur position out or did they over look this (like in most games)? also tho, is the AI realistic in terms of muzzle flashes? like if i shoot someone and an enemy AI has his back turned to me, he's not gunna turn around and auto know where i am just because i shot someone standing beside him? thats what pisses me off about most games...u shoot someone, while under cover and the whole enemy squad knows where u are...where in real life, a sniper can take out a whole platoon of guys if he plans and times his shots right - u know, no one see's the muzzle flash so they dont know where i am.

Just as in real-life you have to move around and change positions, or you will be spotted.
The enemy will not know where you are unless you are very close to them when sniping them, the sound from your rifle is what tips them off. And even if they dont see you they will problary fire towards where the sound came from (common sense), if they are close enough to hear the sound that is.
Abit about sniping taken from ign.com.
"When sniping, a player must use gravity, elevation, wind speed and direction, heart rate, breath, posture, background noise and other conditions to successfully hit their mark".
And it's all true, so not just words.
I dont know how enemy snipers spot you or normal soldiers, it's kinda hard to know. But they spot you easily if you rush or without using much cover.

Why not just delete such posts toeffy? They just polute the thread.
Including mine here, which shuldn't have to be here because deleting such posts shuld be something obvious in my opinion, and shuldn't have to be asked for.

I was looking upto this game as well. I was excited after i saw some promo's of this game as im a Big fan of Sniping in gamez & this one Exclusively & extensively focuses on this only. But if its gonna be SF -- this will spoil the mood a lil bit.
anyways-i'll be looking forward for this game with my eyes wide open

It's Ubisoft which *distributes* this game in Western Europe and New Zealand at least, some different distributors can be used in other countries I guess. Namco is the original publisher of the game (Dead to Rights, etc...)... All this shit depends on the platform, the country and it's actually quite complicated. Originally:
Developer: Rebellion Software UK
Publisher: Namco Hometek / Ubi Soft Entertainment

ahhh not another game where you are a gay ass american who will save the world...jeez im tired of this crap....i wished beeing a german sniper against russian...that would be different.
Here what i read on Gamspot that kept my hopes up till i find out they made a mistake --> "This stealth-based action game is set in 1945 Berlin and sees players assuming the role of a German sniper."
