Hi. This year i begin ASM programming at univ. The teacher says we need a pure DOS partition to learn ASM properly. I have MS Virtual PC, that emulates a new PC. My question is
will ASM work properly on that emulated PC with DOS installed? or i need a DOS partition on a real pc?
I don't see why it wouldn't, except if you are going to use processor-specific extensions. Even a C program is compiled down to ASM, so in that case no programs would have worked on an emulated PC.
OK thx a lot. I just asked this, cause the teacher didnt recommend it, because he didnt guaranteed that if works on Virtual PC it will work also on Univ PC´s or viceversa.
