LOL m8, Its a SFCure game and TBH it prob will work without USB but u need Win XP SP2 to run the SFCure shit correctly, but all these Sforce clones are a load of bollocks to try and get working so go buy the game for less than €20 on ebay FFS, Starforce is annoying, a pain and bad for your compo but in this case you can do nothing Razz

It's so funny on nforce when people say buy the game. STFU. If I want to buy the game I wouldn't be reading the nforce forum I would be on ebay or play.com instead.

I do buy games, but *I* decide if they are worth buying or not. Maybe I buy the game anyway, but I do not buy starforce, Starforce takes away my choice to try before I buy, to many shitty games out there to take the chance. I *never* buy starforce, ever.

So if you haven't got anything to say, don't say anything, most of all don't say buy the game, it's lame. Learn when to bite your tongue.

yeah everyone buy this game and have your puter a$$raped big time by the protection LOL.

Can't say it too often: Every copy of a starfuck protected game sold will finance the development of a stronger protection.

lol stop talking BS.

a good game deserves support..that means u should by a good game!

if u do not buy any SF protected games you will soon see that sequels of very good games won't be developed any further..cause they do not have enough money because YOU hate SF.

Wrong, SF is for mug punters who don't know better. My gripe is that SF copy protection doesn't show any respect for legitimate users, if I buy a game I object to being treated like a criminal and having unnecessary and destructive drivers installed on my system as well as not being allowed a NoCD option. If I'm paying a premium price I expect a premium product.

Anyway, those of us who are able to circumvent the copy protection are small fry compared to the legions of P2Pers that have sprung up and the parasites that SELL illegal copies of games, WE will not harm the games industry, THEY do. You are aiming at the wrong target.

Your right m8, I hate fucking starforce but thank god no game I've wanted has not been cracked, btw, if u buy the game and it totally bollixes up your pc, ring ubi and they will HAVE to help you, if u download the game, you will still have starforce shit on your pc and ubi wont help you if your pc goes fucked up, believe me, I hete Starforce and I bought a game with starforce which drove me so insane, now I download ALL GAMES I want Wink As you say why we pay for starshit, but as it is working and Reloaded prob wont release SCCT soon, get your copy for 10 or so bucks on ebay, and if your pc screws up, phone ubi and they'll be oblidged to help Wink

Good luck,

Nick

I can't buy this game because I don't live in USA or Europe. And I don't like StarForce anyway; Too much people talking shit about that protection.

SCCT is the ONLY game that I have not played yet (of the games I want to play)

DT4 will have a self solution for the IDE problem soon.

that's what one would think. Reality is different though. Ubisoft is one of the worst distributors that exist out there. I made the big mistake of buying FarCry which simply stopped working after one of their great updates. I tried everything to fix that problem and what I got from Ubisoft was not support but 100% ignorance. Now, what can I do? Sue them for a game that cost me a couple of bucks? Try sueing a giant such as Ubi and they'll find some proof that your machine is the problem, not their software.

Regarding the SF protection:
Speaking openly, I refuse and will always refuse to buy software which can not be copied by the legal owner for backup purpose. The SF protection is an insult to the legal user because not only prevents it the licensee from making backup copies it also messes up the licensee's computer by installing various additional sh!t without informing the licensee. Very sorry, but SF goes many steps too far and I will not spend ANY cent on a software (be it a game or an app) that is protected by SF - I am not a masochist. People who surrender to the hyper-aggressive, anti-customer, neck-breaking policies of some distributors such as Ubisoft will lose in the end.

The VOLKSWAGEN release is the one working with DT4 plus unplug IDE CD/DVD drives? Or is another release?

Goddamn, NFOrce is becoming a cesspool of dumbasses.

Listen pal, you're on these forums -- you probably should be treated like a criminal if you're posting in any other section than General Discussion. Don't act like a pompous brat when bigger and better copy protection comes knocking on your P2P-kiddie door. And don't pull the "I buy the games I like and support the developers who deserve it" card to make yourself feel better, either. It's pitiful.

BTW, check your facts before you say things like "we are small fry compared to legions of P2Pers that sell illegal copies of games". Almost all of the illegal production & sale of pirated media originates from Asia and surrounding continents, not your neighbor's basement you asswipe.

And this last bit goes to all of you: stop pretending that StarForce fucks up your computer. Functional copy protection comes along every-so-often and it sucks, but if it can fit in the CD/DVD-ROM drive, it can be read, so stop acting like a bunch of fairies and buy a game or a CD/DVD once in a while. Maybe your girlfriend wont think you're such a big geek after-all. Wink

EDIT: Just a side note to those who complain about not being able to copy their "legitimately purchased CDs/DVDs": read the friggin' EULA for once in your existence. With new protection come new terms, most of which state that you have purchased one and only one copy of that product and have the right to only that of which you have purchased, which is the retail CDs/DVDs and that is it.

If you don't like it, develop your own games and shut the hell up.
